February 21, 2012 - The number of martyrs in Syria today has risen to 108, including 10 children, 3 women and 5 defected recruits. In Idlib city alone, there were 55 martyrs, 47 in Homs, 3 in Damascus suburbs (Hamouriya, Madaya and Douma), 2 in Deir Ezzor and also one martyr in Aleppo...Homs: The fall of at least 16 martyrs including 3 children and 3 women as a result of shelling on Baba Amr neighborhood. Among the martyrs: Mohammed Salloum, Said Hameeda, Sumaya Bashan, Sukra Alhamad, Sumaya Zahran and the children are: Saeed Alibrahim, Mohammad Yahya Alweis and Yasser Nidal Qudsiya and his mother...Homs: Qosair: An increase in the number of martyrs due to shelling the city by regime's forces to 6 including a child. AL TARNABA VILLAGE: Idlib || One of 15 homes destroyed today in the village. This home belonging to an old and handicapped man (he lost his arm) was completely destroyed. The gentleman is telling how the regime army has destroyed his house using tanks and BMB. They kept shelling for 5 hours and his house has been shelled from almost all directions by more than 30 missiles. He also said "the army justified what it has done by saying that the village contains terrorists and armed gangs but i swear that when we went to protest, we didn't have anything except our clothes."

Homs: Safwan Kakhia was martyred along with his sister and brothers and Amar Naeem Saboueh, and Abed Allah Saboueh when a missile targeted their car by the regime’s army. They were all on their way to pay respects for their martyred relatives that were also killed by the regime today.
Damascus: Yarmouk Camps: An evening demonstration started on Ja'aouneh Street where participants chanted for toppling the regime. It was dispersed after security forces and shabiha violently attacked protestors.
Damascus Suburbs: Zamalka: Violent clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime's army.
Deir Ezzor: Two martyrs fell and many were injured, some critically, in the neighborhood of Joura when security forces opened fire to disperse an evening demonstration.
Homs: Palmyra: An evening demonstration started in the city despite the security siege; protesters chanted for the other besieged cities and called for toppling the regime.
Deir Ezzor: The regime's forces are using gunfire to disperse an evening demonstration that started in Jora area where protesters are chanting for toppling the regime.
Banyas: The regime's forces storm the neighborhood of Bahr and spread massively i it. In addition, a campaign of random arrests is being carried out in most streets of the city.
Damascus Suburbs: Madaya: The director of the town's municipality: Kamal Wajeeh Yosuf was martyred by a security sniper's gunfire.
Banyas: The regime's forces carried out a campaign of raids and arrests near Imad Arnouq School following the sound of a large explosion and gunfire in the area. So far, the Salah Shoghari, Abdulsalam Kanadouwi, Tareq Biyasi, Nazeer Morad, Mohammad Hadeefeh and Abdulrazzaq Qarra have been identified to be among the arrested.
Aleppo: Azaz: A massive demonstration started, chanting for the toppling of the regime and in support of Atareb and the besieged syrian cities.

They also blew up the bridge that connects the town to the Zour and cut the road between Zour Jadeed, Hijameh, Khattab and Balhussein. Random gunfire from heavy weapons towards homes, trucks carrying sand have been spotted and earth mounds have been set up near the Orontes river to isolate the town.
Hasakeh: Shadadi: A demonstration has taken off in the village of Abdan. Protestors are chanting in solidarity with the besieged cities and demanding toppling of the regime.
Aleppo: Atareb: Regime's forces shoot indiscriminately at people in the streets and raid and destroy shops in the town.
Raqqa: Security forces arrested Dr. Obada Homsi Al-Hamada yesterday under mysterious circumstances.
Homs: Qusair: Edrees Matar and Riyadh Matar were martyred due to the shelling by security forces at the city.
Idlib: Maaret Noman: Many shells fell on houses in the area close to the international highway Damascus-Aleppo that passes through the city. This led to fires in several of the houses while the regime's forces continued their intense gunfire from their vehicles.
Damascus: A demonstration of dozens of protesters and with women participation started in Rokn Eddein neighborhood on the main road in front of the Nahhas station; protesters chanted for toppling the regime and called for releasing the detainees.
Damascus: Rokn Eddein: A demonstration just started in the neighborhood in Jesr Al-Nahhas area at the main road; protesters chanted for the besieged cities and called for toppling the regime.
Banyas: Security forces are launching a raid and detention campaign in the city; we've known two detainees: Mahmoud Qassem and Tawfeeq Al-Derji. There's extensive security deployment in the city and many military checkpoints were erected at the roads' junctions.
Idlib: Khan Sheikhon: Intense shelling at the city is taking place now and the civilians' homes are being targeted with artillery and armored vehicles' shells amid intense shooting by security members who were deployed at the checkpoints all over the city.
Damascus Suburbs: Zebden: The regime's forces backed with two buses loaded with thugs (Shabeha) and 10 security cars raided the town this morning. A detention campaign was launched and the following detainees' names were reported: Khalid Mohammad Mutawie, Hamad Mohammad Mutawie, Omar Mohammad Mutawie, Ibrahim Mohammad Mutawie, Ahmad Al-Sodah, Maher Khalid Qassem, Aarif Al-Sodah and Raslan Farouk Al-Sodah. The latter's car was confiscated and motorcycles belonging to civilians were burned to terrify the residents.
Homs : Bilal Mghariyel from Al-Khalidiyeh neighbourhood was martyred by the bullets of security forces while he was in the market place.
Idlib: Jabal Zawiya: Ibdita: The regime’s army detained Abed al-Rahman al-Aamer, Mohammed Amer Asaad, Ayman Abed al-Razaq al-Asaad, Bilal Amer al-Asaad, Marwan Amer al-Asaad, Saaed Mohammed al-Asaad, and Mohammed Abed al-Razaq. The regime’s forces put them in a cave below their own house, tortured them ferociously, and bombed the cave burying them alive. Their female family members are trying to recover their bodies beneath the rubble.
Homs: Mohammad Ali Hejazi from Qussor neighborhood was martyred after being shot by the security forces stationed at the Mills checkpoint.

Idlib: Jabal Al-Zawiyah: Hussam Bakour Al-Asa'ad and Mustafa Bakour Al-Asa'ad were martyred by security forces' gunfire in Ebdeta town.
Banyas : a loud explosion was heard close to the Imad Arnouk school, followed by heavy shooting.

Idlib: Jabal Al-Zawiyah: Four martyrs have fallen in Ebdeta town and their corpses were found in one of the town's homes. We have identified 3 of them: Mustafa Al-Othman, son of Taha Al-Abbod and son of Bakour Al-Asa'ad.
Aleppo University: Security forces are firing live ammunition at protestors at the Science Department after failing to disperse them with tear gas.
Idlib: Sergeant Mustafa Mohammed Qasim Benshi was martyred by shabiha gunfire while trying to defect and escape the area where he was stationed as part of his obligatory military service.
Aleppo University: Several demonstrations are ongoing in several colleges on campus. A new demonstration started in the Engineering Department where participants are chanting for the disaster-stricken Syrian cities and security forces responded by firing tear-gas at the peaceful protestors.
Homs: Abed al-Razaq al-Kherma (Al-Bayada Neighborhood) was martyred due to wounds sustained by security forces’ sniper.
Homs: The recruit Abdo Abdul Kareem al-Tarah was martyred at the hands of security forced because he refused to fire at peaceful protestors. Mr. al-Karim is from Hamouieh, Damascus Suburbs.
Aleppo University: Securirty forces are using tear gas to disperse the students' demonstration in front of the Natural Sciences College.
Aleppo University: Security forces are attempting to disperse the students' sit-in in front of the Natural Sciences College by force amid sporadic shooting in the air and a detention campaign of several students including a female one.
Aleppo University: Students are currently partaking in a sit-in inside a lecture hall at the Aleppo Medical School in solidarity with the disaster-stricken cities. The students participating in the sit-in are now headed to the Science Department to join other students in a demonstration.
Damascus suburbs: Mesraba: A military recruit was martyred by security forces while trying to defect from Mesraba checkpoint with 15 other recruits who were able to escape, security reinforcements arrived to the area to search for them.
Damascus Suburbs: Douma: Most of the shops were closed in the city today in adherence with the strike. This morning the city witnessed gunfire from al-A'ab junction. Most of the commercial shops were also closed in al-Ghanem Square.
Idlib: Saraqeb: Regime's army stormed Al-Tarnba village this morning and deployed in it, and launched shells randomly towards the city of Saraqeb.
Damascus: Qadam: Civil disobedience prevail in the neighborhood, in solidarity with Homs, and the disaster-stricken cities. Regime forces entered the neighborhood and launched a campaign of arrests and destruction of shops amid shooting, in addition to the deployment of security checkpoints in the streets of the neighborhood.
Damascus Suburbs: Ma'adamieh Sham: Massive presence of security forces and shabiha on the city streets.
Aleppo: Atareb: Security forces launched a detention campaign and arrested many civilians in the city. The regime's forces also destroyed and ransacked commercial properties.
Idlib: Saraqeb: Heavy and indiscriminately gun firing from all axes of the city.
Deir Ezzor: Shannan: Mahmoud Alinklawi, a young man, got injured with a gun fire and got arrested by security forces in the village of Shannan which belongs to the town of Tayyana.
Damascus Suburbs: Zamalka: Security forces and Shabiha surrounded the school's gathering to prevent students from getting into demonstrations.
Damascus Suburbs: Saqba: Regime's forces, fully equipped, besiege Almadena High school for boys and conduct an inspection campaign of the entire teaching staff and arrest some of the teachers among the known: Moataz Alenoufi, geography teacher, and Hisham Allaham, English teacher
Aleppo University: A massive demonstration from College of Science demanded toppling of the regime, chanted for the Free Syrian Army and in solidarity with Homs.
Damascus Suburbs: Douma: Martyrdom of a solider after being shot by the security officer in Masrsaba bridge's checkpoint after trying to dissid from the army while 14 other dissidents succeeded to escape. Also, the arrival of reinforcements for the barrier to look for dissidents, and indiscriminate gun firing from the barrier to ward Ghanam Square and old Aleppo Street as well as Aleb junction.
Damascus Suburbs: Hamouria: Regimes forces conduct a campaign of raids and storms the houses in the nieghborhood of Villat, terrorize the people there and steal and loot all things that can be carried.

Deir Ezzor: A massive student's demonstration sets out in the neighborhood of Qusoor despite of the intense presence of security forces and Shabiha.
Idlib: Saraqib: The fall of shells on the city of Saraqib and bombing the adjacent village, Tarniba, via heavy artillery. This is in conjunction with the arrival of additional reinforcements to tighten the siege on the city and neighboring villages and the regime's forces take over new civilian sites.

Aleppo: Bab: Security forces abducted Ibrahim Ibn Jassem Ahmad, 25, who works in an upholstery, in front of his house and arrested him.
Daraa: Jassem: Mohammad Awdeh Ghizawi, 35, and Talaat Ghiad, 40, were arrested for the second time this morning at checkpoint on Inkhel highway.
