Syrian Network for Human Rights| Casualty Report Friday, 16 March, 2012 : The Syrian Network for Human Rights has documented 45 victims in different regions in Syria, most of them from Arraqah. Among them two were tortured to death, seven were children, one was a new-born killed along with her mother, and two were defected soldiers. Raqqa: Regime's army stormed the house of the martyr Mohammed Qahtan, behind the Great Mosque, trying to kidnap his body, and have stabbed one of those who were in the house when he refused to extradite him. The army threatened the martyr's family that they will destroy their home.
Damascus: Jobar: The regime's army launched a raid and detention campaign in the neighborhood amid shooting and security deployment on the main road.
Idlib: The regime's army occupied the Faculty of Law building, all the surrounding buildings of the Sideeq Mosque and the Traffic Police Station. They have also put barricades and installed machine guns on buildings' rooftops.
Damascus: Tadhamun: Security reinforcements and heavy weapons enter the neighborhood, and people are afraid of a security crackdown that may be conducted by the regime.

Damascus: Kafarsouseh: an invasion campaign in the Lawan neighbourhood after surrounding it completely.
Lattakia: Kasab: A demonstration started from Rabi'ah village in solidarity with disaster-stricken cities and FSA, and demanding the regime's ouster.
Idlib: Maaret Al-Noman: Many wounded after heavy random fire was opened on civilians after coming back from the demonstrations. Snipers were deployed on high buildings rooftops.
Lattakia: Demonstrations set out in the neighborhood of Gunies, Horieh Mosque in Saliba, al-Jod Mosque in the Citadel, al-Mohajreen Mosque in Raml al-Janobi and the Bazaar Mosque in the market of Traders. All of them chanted for freedom and the disaster-stricken cities and demanded regime's ouster and the protection of civilians.
Lattakia: Many demonstration started from the Doha mosque in the Ashrafiyeh neighbourhood, the Yaseen mosque in the Masrou Qalaa neighbourhood, and from the Zarzour mosque in the southern Korniche. Participants chanted for freedom and the besieged cities, and security forces and thugs clashed with them violently.
Raqqa: many wounded after security forces opened fire on a sit-in next to the Clock tower.
Latakia: many demonstrations started from the Omar Bin Khattab mosque and the Beiraqdar mosque. Participants chanted for freedom and the besieged cities, they also called for protecting civilians despite the heavy security presence.

Idlib: Jabal al-Zawiya: The regime's army stormed Balyoun village and are randomly detaining civilians and burning-down several houses.
Damascus: Hajar Aswad: the regime's forces are conducting a random detention campaign in the neighbourhood which included many people, among them are children. There is also some sporadic shooting to terrorize the people.
Banyas: Many demonstrations set out of the city and security forces conduct a campaign of raids and arrests especially in the neighborhoods of Midan and Qeibat.
Hama: Selmieh: Tanks have entered the city; four tanks entered to Shememish area, three tanks entered Mantar area along with the regime's security and military vehicles. The regime's forces have erected tents and barricades.
Daraa: Daraa Mouhatteh: Widespread security presence amid gunfire in the town. Snipers are stationed on rooftops while al-Sad Road was stormed by the regime's tanks and heavy machinery. Homes have been targeted with mortar shells where martyrs and wounded have been reported. Reports indicate a detention campaign and a security raid on al-Hussen Mosque where praying civilians were detained.
Damascus Suburbs: Qalamoun: A massive demonstration started after Friday prayer from Alfostuqa mosque in Ma'arba village.
Damascus Suburbs: Kanaker: a big demonstration started in the town, participants chanted for the disaster-stricken cities and demanded the regime's ouster.

Damascus: Hajar Aswad: Intense and indiscriminate gunfire aiming at the homes on Thawra (Revolution) Street.
Damascus: Jouret Shribaty: A demonstration started in solidarity with the besieged cities; participants demanded the world to protect civilians from the Regime.
Damascus: Midan: A massive demonstration started from Khair Yaseen Moswue in Qubak area in solidarity with the besieged cities; participants are chanting for the world to protect civilians.
Homs: A mortar shell has fallen in al-Ghouta neighborhood followed by heavy gunfire aimed at a demonstration in the area. A widespread presence of the regime's tanks are seen on the main road.
Hama Suburbs: A demonstration started in Qastoon in Sahl Al-Ghab in spite of the extensive military presence and the widespread of checkpoints.
Damascus Suburbs: Darya: Violent clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the Regime's army in response to raiding the city. It is important to note that the regime’s Air force Intelligence are using helicopters mounted with machineguns to attack civilians.
Damascus Suburbs: Kafr Batna: Security forces and Shabiha launched many barriers and closed the entrances of the town. They surrounded all of the mosques and this is associated with the spread of the snipers on the roofs of buildings.
Daraa: A massive demonstration started from the displaced people of Golan camp; The security is trying to raid the neighborhood to disperse the demonstration while the FSA is trying to adress them.
