The number of today's martyrs has risen to 37 martyrs so far, most of them were martyred in a massacre in Deir Baalba in Homs. 25 martyrs in Homs, 6 martyrs in Idlib, 5 martyrs in Damascus Suburbs, and a martyr in Aleppo. The Local Coordination Committees would like to note that the martyrs of Deir Baalba's Massacre that was discovered today have actually fallen on the 8th of April, 2012; and it was until today that their bodies were discovered. This happened because of the heavy presence of the army and the lack of communication means in the city during the last week. Therefore, the number of martyrs who were killed today (not including the martyrs of Deir Baalba who were discovered today but killed on the 8th of April) is 22 martyrs distributed as follows: 9 martyrs in Homs, 6 in Idlib, 5 in Damascus Suburbs and 2 martyrs in Aleppo.
Damascus: The activists Tammam Ghassan Tahmaz, a second year media student from Hama, was arrested in front of the parliament during his participation in a peaceful sit-in there.

Homs: Residents discovered a new massacre in the Deir Baalba district a short time ago. 16 corpses from the same family, including one of a woman, were found dumped in a barn. The victims had been killed by various means: slaughter, execution by machete, and gunshots to the mouth. The names of the martyrs are: Suleiman Rahmoun Al-Abbas; Amer, Maamoun, Mohamad, and Ahmad Suleiman Al-Abbas; Ali Mohamad Al-Abbas; Adnan Dibo Al-Abbas; Taha and Imad Abdel Karim Al-Abbas; Said, Walid, Abdel Khalil, and Abdel Kafi Mohamad Al-Abbas; Mohamad Walid Al-Abbas; Walid Taha Al-Abbas; and Ina'am Abdel Rahman Al-Abbas. This is the third day in a row that residents discover a massacre in the area despite the cease-fire and the Annan Peace Plan.

Among those detained is the son of Dr. Al-Tayeb Al-Tizini.

Idlib: Janoudieh: Shalah Abed Jawad Yaseen, Mohammed Jumaa Haj Qassem were martyred when regime forces arrived to the town after the cease-fire agreement and attacked the demonstrators. Several people were arreseted in cluding Rakan Taha Kaidy, Khaled Ali-Hamoud,Ahmed Nawaf Yousef, and Bilal Dergham Abdullah.
Homs: Five shells were launched from the Homs Citadal, where the regime forces are stationed, and landed in the historic neighborhood of Homs.
Aleppo: A Student demonstration started at the Conservative Highschool in Salah al-Dean. Students are marching through the streets of the neighborhood and demanding the regime's ouster.
Deir Ezzor: Security forces and shabiha are attacking a demonstration that started from the College of Education. Participants are demanding the regime's ouster.
Damascus Suburbs: Yabroud: Massive demonstration set in response to the invitation and in support of the disaster-stricken cities. Slogans for freedom and toppling the regime were heard.
