Yarmouk Palestinian refugee cam: Thirty-year-old Mutassem Abdel Ghanim (pictured) is one of three Palestinian residents of Yarmouk camp to die in Bashar al Assad's war today, one of two to die of starvation due to the continuing regime siege. His family said that he had not eaten for at least two weeks as a result of their inability to obtain any food. Another resident, an elderly woman, named as Kawsar Abdel Qader, also died of chronic malnutrition-related causes today in the camp. She had first come to Syria as a child with her family, fleeing the 1948 Nakba in Palestine. A third resident of the camp, an elderly man named as Youssef Khatib, was killed in regime heavy artillery bombardment of the camp's main Yarmouk Street, which has continued sporadically throughout the day.
