Muslim Brotherhood at Mubarak’s Banquet

Sarakenos

KABOBfest., February 6, 2011

On November 11, 2010 (four months ago),  I posted an essay titled "Muslim Brotherhood at the Banquet," in which I explained how the Muslim Brotherhood had been in bed with colonial and post-colonial puppet governments since their inception in 1928, where they have played the role of fake opposition throughout their existence (with the one exception in Syria for particular circumstances), to absorb the Muslim voice and anger, and cultivate it to its final product: impotent opposition. Where other political organizations have been silenced and outlawed, the Muslim Brotherhood had been gaining recognition, as well as financial and political support in Jordan, Algeria, Gaza, Lebanon, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Morocco, Sudan, and, yes, in Egypt too.

Just now, Al-Jazeera ran a news alert revealing that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt had just commenced a round of talks with Egyptian vice-president and head of Egyptian mukhabarat and secret police, Omar Suleiman, in an attempt to "resolve the crisis;" striking a deal where both sides gain something.

Omar Suleiman, Israel’s top friend, and his regime want to end the demonstrations by any and all means possible, at any price, in order to resuscitate the Egyptian economy (i.e. protect investments). While the Muslim Brotherhood seeks a greater share at the tyrant’s banquet. The Muslim Brotherhood, who had absolutely nothing to do with the initiation of the current Egyptian intifada, will use their popularity among a great segment of demonstrators to pull the carpet from underneath the revolution’s feet.

Only a traitor would refer to the Egyptian Revolution as "the Egyptian Crisis," the likes of Al-Arabiya News Channel, funded by Saudi Arabia. The Muslim Brotherhood representatives to Al-Jazeera have been consistently referring to it as a "crisis" that Egyptians need to get out of. The following is an except from Al-Jazeera Arabic, moments ago, between Al-Jazeera anchorman, Abdul-Kader Ayyadh, and the Muslim Brotherhood deputy leader and spokesman, Rashad Bayoumi.

Al-Jazeera: Kifaya Movement says you made a mistake by choosing this time to have talks with the regime.
Bayoumi: We are not giving up on any of our demands, which are the demands of the entire population. If we find that they won’t accept, we will simply withdraw from the talks.
Al-Jazeera: What are these demands?
Bayoumi: Our first demand is the exclusion of the current regime…
Al-Jazeera: What if they tell you to forget about that first demand? What would you do then?
Bayoumi: Well, … we would then reconcile within our organization to figure out how to respond.
Al-Jazeera: So it is not just one round of talks, but several rounds to follow?
Bayoumi: Precisely.

Watch as the events unfold, and the Muslim Brotherhood plays its role in the current attempt to bury the Egyptian Revolution, or as they call it "the Egyptian Crisis," which they would like to use as a bargaining point to lift away their "illegal" status, in return for silencing the protesters and sending them back home.

Long Live Bou Azizi! Long Live Kostas Georgakis!
