This is another accolade for the US and its partners in genocide in which it can add another few names to the family members of adversaries killed in the past three decades. The best term I can think of them for performing such acts is "fucking degenerates."

Let’s look at the score-sheet. In 1986, US bombs killed Gadaffi’s eight-year-old daughter. The reason for bombing Libya was the bombing of a Berlin discotheque in which two US soldiers died. Reagan blamed Libya and unleashed an aerial attack on the country, despite German intelligence telling Reagan that Libya had nothing to do with the attack. German authorities had already arrested the perpetrators and they were not Libyan and had no ties to Libya.

In the intense four-day bombing of Iraq ordered by Bill Clinton in 1998, the house of Saddam Hussein’s daughter was destroyed. Fortunately, she was not at home and was spared. Shortly after, the family of the US "enemy-of-the-month club," Slobodan Milosevic was targeted. Like Saddam’s daughter, they left the house minutes before it was demolished.

The US was quite upset with the two misses, so it had to make up for lost ground. In 2003, Saddam Hussein’s sons Uday and Qusay were killed, along with his 14-year-old grandson. The US took no chances as 600 military personnel surrounded the house they were in and an hours-long barrage of bombs, missiles, rockets and bullets pummeled it. We all saw the US display the bullet-ridden bodies of Uday and Qusay like they were hunting trophies. But, they did not show the teenage grandson. That would have been in bad taste.

In 1996, on Somali television, a program showed tape of a US serviceman’s body being dragged through the streets after a battle in 1993. Bill Clinton was irate. He took to the cameras and said that only barbaric people would show the world the picture of a dead body of an American and such acts were despicable. It was in poor taste to show the soldier’s body being dragged, but it was in a celebratory manner in which the Hussein brothers were displayed. The spokesperson at the morgue even taunted Saddam, who was still on the run and leading a resistance. He said, "Saddam knows where their bodies are and he can come and pick them up any time."

On the last day of April 2011, four more family members of the leader of a country were brutally murdered. From reading the published accounts, various NATO spokespeople showed no sign of any kind of remorse and maintained that they only targeted military command and control targets. The younger Gadaffi lived in a normal civilian house and it could under no circumstances be viewed as a military target.

There are so many accounts of the US knowingly killing civilians that they would be too numerous to list. One, in particular sticks out. On February 14, 1991, more than 400 people were killed at the Amiryah bomb shelter in Baghdad. To this day, the US still has not come clean. The fine outstanding US spokesperson Colin Powell stated that he was 100% certain that the bomb shelter was a military command and control center.

Obama was elected as a man of peace. He said he would get the US out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Guess what? He lied. He has also been the architect of the drone bombing of Pakistan; an operation that killed 978 civilians in 2010. His followers, including the sellout sons of bitches in the "peace" and "antiwar" movements, still make excuses for him. What would he think if his wife and kids became targets of an adversary? But, Americans are better and worth more than people of other nations. We now have an ever-increasingly used term to describe this. Democrats and Republicans alike are now using the term "American exceptionalism" to justify barbaric actions.

What if the US did kill Gadaffi? Would the nation of Libya then welcome the "liberators" to enter and put the decrepit stooges who are called "rebels" into power and then everybody would live happily ever after? Recent history shows that just the opposite would happen.

On December 30, 2006, Saddam Hussein was murdered by cowardly hooded assassins. The pundits said that Iraq was now free and Camelot was just around the corner. For some reason, many Iraqis did not share the same attitude. For the next two years, the bloodiest battles of resistance kept Iraq in flames. Thousands of US servicemen were killed and hundreds of thousands were severely injured with lifelong maladies, such as being crippled, blind, or mentally unstable. Why would anyone think the results in Libya would be any different?

I am irate as I write this and normally I don’t get down to gutter language like some political observers, mostly of the reactionary right, but I can’t help stating my emotions. The administration of the US, along with the majority, yes the majority, are a bunch of sick motherfuckers. They consider "family values" to apply solely to US citizens. In their minds, the rest of the world can go fuck themselves.

As I, and other people strung across the world, feel empty and sickened by the killing of the children and grandkids of world leaders by US missiles, the average US citizen, probably sitting in front of a TV set with a can of beer placed on his 44-inch stomach, using it as a table, dressed in his polyester pants and adorning his US flag lapel (made in China), will be shouting, "God bless America." I say fuck them and every nitwit who agrees with them, including almost the entire US government.
