- Nine US troops reported killed in car bombing of border crossing checkpoint at ar-Rutbah near Jordanian frontier.
- Two US Marines reported killed along with Iraqi translator in Ba'qubah Friday morning.
- Resistance barrage leaves Polish soldier dead Thursday night.

Ar-Rutbah.
Nine US troops reported killed in car bombing of border crossing checkpoint at ar-Rutbah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida'i fighter had
driven an explosives-packed car into a US border checkpoint in the city
of ar-Rutbah not far from the Jordanian frontier.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the blast brought
down the building in which the checkpoint was housed, killing a number
of US troops and Iraqis who were waiting their turn to be inspected.
In a telephone interview with Mafkarat al-Islam, one of the Iraqi
workers who does inspection at the border post said that at least nine
US troops were killed in the attack as were more than five Iraqis.
Baghdad.
Resistance bombards US base south of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Friday evening, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Katyusha
rockets and a mortar shell into the US base known as Sukkaniya south of
Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Captain
'Ali al-Haydi of the Iraqi puppet army as saying that the barrage
killed or wounded a number of US troops.
Captain al-Haydi told Mafkarat al-Islam that one of the rockets
struck a liquid fuel storage depot used by US military vehicles. That
ignited a massive fire inside the base that forced the Americans to
call in the Iraqi puppet army's firefighters to help extinguish the
blaze. US helicopters were seen hovering around the base continuously
for an hour and a half.
Badr Brigade gunmen kill five worshippers at Sunni mosque.
In a bulletin posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that five Sunni Iraqis were killed when
members of the Shi'i sectarian Badr Brigade militia opened fire on a
Sunni mosque in Baghdad on Friday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses outside
the al-Wahid al-Qahhar Mosque in Baghdad's ar-Rusafah district as
saying that the dead and wounded were coming out of the mosque when the
Badr Brigade gunmen opened fire, killing five and wounding another
nine. The attackers then fled.
At the time of reporting, US forces had surrounded the area as is routine in shooting incidents.
The Badr Brigades, the armed wing of the pro-American Supreme
Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) joined US troops in
the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and then formed the backbone of
pro-American puppet police and security agencies in the occupied
country.
Diyala Province.
Ba'qubah.
Two US Marines reported killed along with Iraqi translator in Ba'qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
military patrol in the al-Wahdah neighborhood in eastern Ba'qubah
Friday morning.
The Mafkart al-Islam correspondent in Ba'qubah reported Lieutenant
Akram Mahmud of the Rescue Police as saying that a bomb planted by the
edge of the road to the al-Wahdah neighborhood school blew up by a
patrol of three US Humvees. The explosion killed two US Marines and one
Iraqi working for them as a translator.
The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent say US military vehicles
sealing off the area where the attack took place, where work was under
way to evacuate the bodies of the dead Marines and the wreckage of the
vehicle.
The Americans left the body of the Iraqi translator, who had worked
for them for more than a year according to residents, lying on the
road, not taking it away with those of the Marines.
Al-Mundhiriyah.
US occupation troops arrest four Iranian infiltrators.
US occupation forces captured four Iranians who infiltrated the
Iraqi border near te al-Mundhiriyah frontier post at 5am local time
Friday morning. A source in the Iraqi puppet border police told
Mafkarat al-Islam that US forces arrested four Iranians and one Iraqi
who entered Iraqi illegally. The source did not way whether the
infiltrators were carrying anything with them.
Babil Province.
Al-Hillah.
Resistance barrage leaves Polish soldier dead Thursday night.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-sized mortar rounds into
the Polish base in al-Hillah, some 70km south of Baghdad on Thursday
night.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported a source
on the base who works in the Joint Polish-Iraqi Committee as saying
that three mortar shells blasted the wesetern part of the base at 9pm
Thursday night, killing one Polish soldier in an external observation
unit and wounding a second.
The source said that the regular Polish occupation army, aided by
US occupation forces quickly combed the area and carried out searches
but found no sign of the attackers.
The wounded Polish soldier was transported to Baghdad from where he would be sent home to Poland for treatment.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Al-Mushahadah.
Resistance car bomber blasts into US column. Attacker said to have been a woman.
In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Mecca time Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam
reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida'i fighter drove an
explosive-laden car into a US military column opposite the train
station in al-Mushahadah, some 30km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a number of
railroad workers who were near the scene of the blast said that US
troops opened heavy gunfire on the death car as it raced towards them
but the driver kept coming and blasted into the middle of the American
column.
The correspondent reported that the explosion destroyed one Humvee and disabled a second.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent said that a number of the
eyewitnesses were certain that the Resistance fighter driving the car
bomb was a woman, because the driver was wearing a face veil and not
the head cloth that male Resistance fighters usually wear.
Ta'mim Province.
Kirkuk.
Kurdish separatist party official assassinated.
Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a prominent official in
the pro-American Kurdish separatist party loyal to the US-installed
"President of Iraq" Jalal at-Talibani at about 8:30am local time in
al-Hawijah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the puppet
police as saying that four of the official's bodyguards were also
killed as they were making an inspection on foot of the situation of
Kurds in Kiruk.
Ninwa Province.
Mosul.
Bodies of four puppet army soldiers found.
Iraqi puppet army troops found the bodies of four members of the Iraqi puppet army's 6th Brigade in Mosul.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported a source
in the puppet army as saying that the four bodies had been executed
several days earlier. Their hands had been bound from behind and they
had been shot in the head.
The source, who asked not to be identified, told Mafkarat al-Islam
that the four soldiers went missing on the third day of Eid al-Fitr (5
November) and they were listed as deserters, since desertion is now so
common.
