Exactly on 10 May 2005 Raja Nawaf (Anbar province governor) was kidnapped [ http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4534277.stm BBC repoted it after one day], on 15 May 2005 stream media reported that Raja Nawaf been released,

on 31 May 2005 the same individual (Raja Nawaf) found dead ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4595879.stm ) .

Different versions on his death, here are the 3 versions:

1- American troops bombed a house, found 4-5 foreign terrorists inside and the body of Raja Nawaf under the debris of the collapsed building, he was handcuffed on a gas container in Rawa city.

2- Insurgents killed Raja Nawaf when the American troops attacked them inside a house in Rawa city.

3- At least one website reported totally different version it is Islammemo [Arabic: http://www.islammemo.cc/news/one_newssearch.asp?word=%C3%E4%
C8%C7%D1&IDnews=67418 ] they said that Raja Nawaf was found dead, laying in the street in Al-Qaim city. (notice in this version it is a different city, does the name Al-Qaim ring a bell, Matador

By the way in the same day when Raja Nawaf stream media reported his release look who was visiting Iraq (remember the date !! it was 15 May 2005) :
