you are of South Asian heritage, prefer to wear a bulky coat on summer
days, and are afraid of the police, you may want to stay indoors for
the foreseeable future. "U.K. police said they shot dead a man at south
London’s Stockwell subway station, just a day after four would-be
bombers failed in an attempt to detonate bombs on three subway trains
and a bus in the capital," reports Bloomberg.
"Police challenged the man in the station, and then shot him just after
10 a.m. local time today, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police
said in a telephone interview." According to other reports, the police
plugged the man after knocking him to the floor. For Muslims,
especially Muslims with dark skin, Britain is now a lot like Israel,
where Arabs are killed on a regular basis (and tortured, humiliated, forced to drink their own urine).
In fact, it appears the Israelis have advised the Brits on "shoot-to-kill" techniques, according to the Scotsman.
"Normal firearms rules mean officers fire at the chests of targets,
with the intention of stopping and incapacitating, but not directly
aiming to kill," reports the newspaper. "But the Met has been advised
by Israeli security officials that this is not adequate, since even
after several shots they can still be capable of triggering an
explosive device." It appears this is what has happened to the hapless
South Asian man who made a fashion mistake and allowed his fear of
police to get the better of him. Mark Whitby, a commuter at the
Stockwell Station where the man was executed, said it "did not look
like he was carrying anything, although his clothing "looked out of
place in the hot humid weather."
Of course, it makes no
difference if the man was in fact a "suicide bomber" or just a South
Asian guy in the wrong place at the wrong time because the purpose of
the "shoot-to-kill" policy is not to stop bombers (especially "strategy of tension"
bombers) but rather to strike fear into Britain’s South Asian and Arab
Muslim communities. "British Muslims said they feared police were
operating under a ’shoot to kill’ policy after a man was gunned down at
an Underground train station Friday following a new wave of bomb
attacks," reports News24. "We are getting phone calls from quite a lot
of Muslims who are distressed about what may be a shoot-to-kill
policy," explained Inayat Bunglawala, spokesman for the Muslim Council in London.
As
if to drive the point home, police "sealed off the home of a Muslim
convert identified as one of the suspected July 7 suicide bombers after
a suspected attempt to burn the building. Officers were called to
Germaine Lindsay’s home in Aylesbury, a town just outside London,
shortly after 06:30 after reports of a strong smell of petrol in the
street, officers said." Germaine Lindsay was the young father
supposedly made over into an al-Qaeda bomber, described by a former schoolmate
as "dead brainy." Sounds like a perfect Muslim Stepford candidate to
graduate to patsy status, carry a backpack, and then be blown to
bits.
