Al-Anbar Province.

Ath-Tharthar.



Two US troops reported killed southeast of ath-Tharthar Tuesday afternoon.


Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including RPK light machine guns, PKS machine guns, and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked a US column on the road leading to a branch of the Tigris River to the southeast of the ath-Tharthar area northwest of Baghdad at about 2pm local time Tuesday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack destroyed a US Humvee, killing two members of its crew and wounding three other US troops. One Resistance fighter was also wounded in the ambush before the attackers withdrew from the area.


Al-Qa’im.


Resistance bombards US, Iraqi puppet army positions in al-Karabilah area.


Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-range Katyusha rockets at concentrations of US and Iraqi puppet army troops near the village of al-Karabilah east of the city of al-Qa’im on the border with Syria at about 11am local time Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Karabilah as saying that the Resistance bombarded a camp jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet army troops to the north of the village of al-Karabilah. Three rockets blasted directly into the camp, destroying large parts of it. Abut six American and Iraqi puppet army troops were killed or wounded in the barrage.

The Resistance also fired six mortar shells into a concentration of US and Iraqi puppet army troops near the US headquarters to the east of al-Karabilah. No information on the nature or extent of casualties from that attack was available.


US military: two bridges over Euphrates bombed near al-Karabilah.

The US military announced on Tuesday that its warplanes had bombed two small bridges on the Euphrates River near the Syrian border shortly after midnight Tuesday. The aim of the American attack was to prevent Iraqi Resistance forces and ammunition from moving towards Baghdad, according to a US military statement reported by Agence France Presse and monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam.


Al-Khalidiyah.


Six US troops reported killed when Resistance car bomber blasts US column Tuesday morning.


An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a column of US troops on a road where construction materials are sold in the middle of the city of al-Khalidiyah west of Baghddad at about 10:15am local time Tuesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported owners of stores selling construction materials who witnessed the attack as saying that a Resistance fighter surprised a US column when he drove a car bomb into a column of several Humvees and blew up in their midst. The explosion destroyed two Humvees, killing six US troops and wounding three more.

Afterwards, US forces encircled the area. US helicopters were seen landing near the scene apparently to haul away the wrecked vehicles and the dead and wounded.


Al-Fallujah.


Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Jaghifi while others attack puppet police patrol.


In a dispatch posted at 9:45am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the joint headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet army forces in the al-Jaghifi neighborhood of northern al-Fallujah with medium-range rockets.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported home owners living adjacent to the American headquarters as saying that the barrage totally destroyed the observation post that had been set up on the roof of the headquarters, killing an American sniper and wounding three other troops, one of them an Iraqi puppet army soldier.

Resistance fighters armed with hand grenades, meanwhile attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet police patrol on the main road in al-Fallujah. One Land Cruiser belonging to the puppet police was set on fire, killing or wounding its four-man crew.


Ar-Ramadi.


Son of US-installed puppet "governor" of al-Anbar Province abducted.


In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while before, armed masked men had abducted the son of the US-installed puppet "governor" of al-Anbar Province, 'Umar Ma’mun Sami Rashid, after he ceme out of the University where he is completing his basic studies in the College of Engineering.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported campus guards who witnessed the abduction – and did not move or react in any way against the kidnapping – as saying that that four men attacked the puppet governor’s son, blindfolded him, and led him away to an unknown destination. The governor’s son made no attempt to resist.


Baghdad.


US soldier reported killed in roadside bombing in al-Bayya' area Tuesday afternoon.


An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Bayya' area to the southwest of Baghdad at 4pm local time Tuesday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Bayya' who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that was placed under a mound of rubbish by the side of the main road in the area blew up as a patrol of four Humvees passed by. The blast disabled one of the vehicles, killing one American soldier and wounding two more US troops.


Salah ad-Din Province.

Samarra’.



Four US troops reported killed in roadside bombing south of Samarra’.


In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US armored column on the road leading to the al-Khalij Airport south of Samarra’ (which is 120km north of Baghdad).

A source in the Iraqi puppet army told the Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road to the al-Khalij military airfield south of the city blew up as a column of five US armored vehicles and three Humvees was passing by. One US armored vehicle was destroyed and four American soldiers were killed in the attack. Two other US troops were wounded, the source said.


Tikrit.


Three Resistance bombs blast column of mercenary troops in Tikrit.


In a dispatch posted at 6:15pm Mecca time Tuesday, afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded by a patrol of foreign mercenary contractors working for the US military occupation forces in Tikrit.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three bombs went off as a column of armor plated vehicles of the type used by foreign security contractors (mercenary troops) working for the US military passed by on the road leading to the presidential palace in al-Awjah, near Tikrit – a site now occupied and used by American troops as a local headuquarters.

The witnesses told the correspondent that the three bombs went off nearly simultaneously, setting three vehicles on fire and killing or wounding about seven foreign contractor soldiers.


At-Tarimiyah.


Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing Tuesday afternoon.


An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol near the southern entrance to the city of at-Tarimiyah, north of Baghdad at 3:30pm local time Tuesday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a member of the puppet police as saying that a bomb that was planted on the main road near the entrance to the city blew up as a joint patrol was passing along the road.

The explosion disabled one American armored vehicle, killing two US troops and wounding two more American soldiers.


Ad-Dulu'iyah.


Four American soldiers reported killed in farm road bombing late Tuesday morning.


An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Bu Hishmah area south of the city of ad-Dulu'iyah at 11am local time Tuesday morning.

The ad-Dulu'iyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the middle of an unpaved farm road south of the village of al-Bu Hishamah had exploded under an American Humvee that was part of a US patrol.

The witnesses said that the blast completely destroyed the Humvee, killing four US troops who were aboard it.


Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.



Four US troops reported killed in roadside bombing early Tuesday.


An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the highway southwest of al-Yusufiyah at 9am local time Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Yusufiyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a massive bomb that was planted by the side of the highway from Baghdad leading to the southern provinces blew up by a column of US Bradley armored vehicles and four Humvees. One of the armored vehicles was totally destroyed, killing four US troops and wounding two more.


Ninwa Province.

Tall 'Afar.



US forces withdraw from Tall 'Afar having failed to take a single neighborhood despite hours of fierce combat.


In a dispatch posted at 9am Tuesday morning Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had withdrawn from six residential neighborhoods in the center, north, and west of Tall 'Afar, after they failed to take control of them despite continuous fighting from early Monday until Tuesday morning.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported witnesses as saying that American troops had issued an announcement in the city – which they also published in Baghdad – saying that the Marines had taken control and "cleaned out" a number of districts of Tall 'Afar and then withdrawn to leave the mission in the hands of the Iraqi puppet army which is to reach the city in the next few hours.

The correspondent reported that the US occupation forces vehicles left those areas of the city, each one of them dragging behind it a similar vehicle that had been disabled or wrecked in the course of the previous night’s battles. US helicopters could be seen during the battles trying to land in some parts of the city to evacuate wounded or dead US troops, but they were unable to touch down due to the intense fire between the two sides.

The correspondent reported a source in the city hospital, which had been designated to receive the wounded and dead Resistance fighters, as saying that 16 fighters had been killed in the fighting and more than 30 other fighters wounded.


Resistance gunfire hits US Apache helicopter.

In a bulletin posted at 11:10am Mecca time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier the Iraqi Resistance in Tall 'Afar had announced that their weapons fire had struck a US Apache helicopter over the city.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent inside the city reported that the Iraqi Resistance distributed a communiqué in various parts of Tall 'Afar announcing the hit. Resistance sources afterwards met with the correspondent and said that their fire had scored a direct hit on the Apache. A trail of thick smoke could be seen coming from the stricken helicopter after the hit, but its fate and that of its crew was unknown, except that it was seen going down in an area controlled by US occupation forces.


Mosul.


Two American troops reported killed in Resistance ambush in al-Karamah Tuesday morning.


Fierce fighting erupted between the Iraqi Resistance and US occupation troops together with troops of the Iraqi puppet "Interior Ministry Wolf Brigade" in the al-Karamah area south of Mosul at 9am local time Tuesday morning.

The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Karamah who witnessed the fighting as saying that the clashes began when Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons, including PKS machineguns and RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked a joint US-Wolf Brigade patrol in al-Karamah on the road leading to Kirkuk in the southeast.

The fighting, which lasted about half an hour, left one US Humvee and two troop transports belonging to the Wolf Brigade on fire. Two US soldiers were killed and two other American troops were wounded. Four of the puppet Wolf Brigade troops were killed and six others wounded.

Witnesses said that two of the Resistance fighters were killed and another one wounded before the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area.
