Having read infinite complains about the blurring propaganda around the Iraq
war, I'm offering today a package of linguistic tools, a dictionary and translator intended to make the propaganda transparent.
US-meaning (Iraq war dictionary)
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it
means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less"
As the major source of propaganda is the United States, the dictionary is
built accordingly. On the left column a US propaganda term is introduced, on
the right column a translation, a definition, a comment or alike, giving the
true meaning (or contents) of the term, is revealed.

As an example of the use of the dictionary we can investigate the following
samples from the news wire US needs regional help to make progress in Iraq,
says Kissinger
"Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said Friday that Washington
not only needed to define its sense of future in Iraq but also had to
broaden the base of political consultation in the region."
TRANSLATION: "(...) Kissinger said (...) that Washington not only needed
define its sense of future in Iraq, but also had to broaden the base of
conspiring aimed at civil war in the Muslim world."
"The countries relevant to Iraq's security and stability, or which consider
their security and stability affected by the emerging arrangements, must be
given a sense of participation in the next stage of Iraq policy," Kissinger
said.
TRANSLATION: The countries relevant to US Armed control of Iraq and
controlled civil war, or which consider their own armed control and civil
oppression affected by the emerging arrangements, must collaborate in
occupation of Iraq," Kissinger said.
"The functions of the contact group would be to advise on the political
evolution of Iraq, to broaden the basis of legitimacy of the government, and
to reflect a broad international interest in the stability and progress of
the region," he proposed."
TRANSLATION: The functions of the military advisers would be to advise on
the developing of the civil war in Iraq, to broaden the basis of
illegitimacy of the puppet regime, and to reflect a broad US-Israeli
interest in the controlled civil war and the cumulation of destruction of
the Arab world," he proposed.
Finally, the translation for the headline of the wire is "US needs arab
troops to cumulate the destruction in Iraq". Easy, isn't it?
II) US - truth translator
As all the statements of the US have been deliberately false, there's no
reason to believe that this would change in the future. Tired of waiting for
the official 'babelfish' styled version, I publish here a simple, ready-to-
use version for everyone. The translator applies to all indicative
sentences, claimed by the US authorities (and those lying accordingly).
Quite simply, the translator gives the true contents of claims according to
the following principles:
1) If the sentence does not contain the negative no(t), ADD it.
2) If the sentence does contain the negative no(t), DELETE it.
Thus for example, the true content of the sentence "We do not
torture" (Bush), is gained by applying the rule 2): "We do torture", and so
on.
Note that the dictionary and the translator are partly one and the same
thing, so instead of using translator you could use the dictionary, thus
getting "We do not torture" - "We abuse".
As the developing of the dictionary and the translator has taken its toll,
I'm thankful to all donations to the Iraqi people after the United States
is driven out from Iraq and a sovereign government has replaced the US
puppets. Thank you.
