Resistance bomb blasts US fuel convoy near Hit.
In a dispatch posted at 9:40pm Mecca time Tuesday night,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a
convoy of fuel tankers headed to US bases on the highway east of Hit, some 140km
west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that the bomb went off by the fuel convoy,
completely destroying one fuel truck and killing its driver, a worker for the US
occupation forces.
Makr adh-Dib.
US Black Hawk helicopter downed near Syrian border at
before dawn Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 7:40pm Mecca time Tuesday evening,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance shot down a US Black
Hawk helicopter near the village of Makr adh-Dhib, 6km from the Syrian border
between ar-Rutbah and al-Qa’im, at 4am local time Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
witnesses from the village as saying that they saw the Black Hawk helicopter
plunging to earth in flames. They indicated that the American crew was able to
get out of the craft before it crashed. American forces later deployed in large
numbers and mounted mechanized and foot patrols presumably searching for the
crew or the Resistance fighters who brought down the Black Hawk.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance fighters battle US occupation troops in
downtown ar-Ramadi in fierce, hour-long engagement.
In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting broke out
between Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation troops near the al-Anbar
Province government building in ar-Ramadi, a facility that US forces took over
and turned into their local headquarters after their invasion of Iraq in the
spring of 2003.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported local residents who witnessed the fighting as saying that the battle
lasted for a full hour and that Resistance men used light and medium weapons,
pipe rockets, and mortars in the combat. The witnesses reported that two US
vehicles were set ablaze and seven American troops killed or wounded in the
fighting. The provincial government building where the US forces have their
headquarters was also damaged.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills American
soldier at checkpoint in al-Fallujah Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman
shot and killed a US soldier at the al-Halabisah checkpoint in al-Fallujah, some
60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an
eyewitness as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter killed a US soldier
at the checkpoint at 7am Tuesday morning local time. After the attack, US
forces closed the roads leading to the al-Halabisah checkpoint, and launched a
search for the Resistance fighter, but found no sign of him.
Tribal chief attacked.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men attacked Shaykh
Khamis al-Hisnawi, the head of the al-Bu 'Isa tribe throughout Iraq on Tuesday
morning in al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a
source in the al-Fallujah puppet police as saying that two men equipped with
light arms attacked the Shaykh as he was standing near his home in the
southwestern part of the city. The Shaykh was slightly wounded in the assault
and was taken to al-Fallujah General Hospital for treatment.
In mid-February there were reports in the Iraqi press
stating that an organization calling itself the Squadrons of Death had
threatened a number of persons in the al-Fallujah area, most of them members of
the al-Bu 'Isa tribe, accusing them of taking money from public funds and
corruption.
Resistance fighters ambush puppet "National Guards,"
killing two.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Tuesday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a
group of puppet "Iraqi National Guard" troops on the main road near the western
entrance to the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

eyewitnesses in the al-Halabisah area of western al-Fallujah as saying that the
Resistance fighters attacked the puppet "Guards" killing two of them an wounding
two more.

Resistance ambushes US supply convoy in southwestern
Baghdad’s ar-Ridwaniyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters
ambushed a convoy of trucks hauling provisions to US bases on the highway in the
southwestern Baghdad area of ar-Ridwaniyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that Resistance fighters armed with
light and medium weapons assaulted the convoy, disabling four trucks and killing
four of the drivers who were working for the US occupation forces.
US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing in
western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
military patrol on the main road in the al-Jami'ah (University) area of western
Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in the University area as saying that a bomb went off by a passing
American patrol, disabling a Humvee and killing one US soldier and wounding two
more of them.
Men wearing puppet "National Guard" and puppet "Shock
Troop" uniforms attack three companies in Baghdad at midday Tuesday, kidnapping
and robbing.
In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men wearing the uniforms
of the puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)" and puppet
"National Guard" stormed three companies in Baghdad at midday Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a
source in the Iraqi puppet police who asked not to be identified as saying that
men wearing puppet "National Guard" uniforms and driving a car that looked like
a puppet "National Guard" vehicle, stormed the Musa Currency Exchange Company
and stole US$50,000 and 15 million Iraqi Dinars in addition to abducting six
employees.
The correspondent reported that other men wearing puppet
"Shock Troop" uniforms and driving a vehicle that looked like the "Shock Troop"
vehicles, stormed two branches of the Daewoo Electronics and Electrical
Appliance Company in al-Karradah and on Palestine Street and kidnapped the
company director and 12 employees from the two commercial establishments.
Resistance sharpshooter kills Iraqi puppet "National
Guard" soldier in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman
shot and killed an Iraqi puppet soldier in the western Baghdad area of al-'Amiriyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in al-'Amiriyah as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter
shot and killed a member of the puppet "Iraqi National Guard" who was perched
atop a high building on the main road in the area. The puppet "National Guard"
soldier took a direct hit and was killed instantly, the correspondent reported.
Resistance bomb blasts US column on way to Saddam
International Airport.
In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Mecca time Tuesday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
military column on the highway to Saddam International Airport west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
residents of al-'Amiriyah in western Baghdad as saying that a Resistance bomb
exploded as a US column was heading up the road to the airport. The blast
disabled one Humvee, wounding three US troops.
Resistance bombards headquarters of pro-American
political parties in Baghdad’s az-Za'faraniyah district Monday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Mecca time Tuesday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two
Katyusha rockets into the headquarters of the pro-American Shi'i sectarian Hizb
al-Fadilah al-Islami Party and the ad-Da'wah al-Islamiyah Party in the
southeastern Baghdad district of az-Za'faraniyah on Monday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
residents of az-Za'faraniyah who witnessed the attack as saying that the rockets
killed two members of the Da 'wah Party and wounded four more of them; and
killed three members of the al-Fadilah al-Islami Party and wounded another six
of them. The ad-Da'wah al-Islamiyah Party is headed by puppet "Prime Minister"
Ibrahim al-Ja'fari and the Hizb al-Fadilah al-Islami is headed by the
pro-American politician Nadim al-Jabiri.

Bayji.
Americans seal off, lock down city of Bayji; residents
fear American offensive is beginning.
US occupation troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies
sealed off the city of Bayji and imposed a curfew on the city, some 200km north
of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.
A source in the Iraqi puppet army told Quds Press
that the American and Iraqi puppet troops closed and locked down the city
beginning at 6am local time in preparation for launching a large-scale campaign
aimed at repressing Iraqi Resistance fighters and hunting for weapons that might
be used against the occupation troops.
As the American and puppet forces began storming houses in
several neighborhoods of Bayji, local residents told Quds Press of their
fear that this might be the start of a full-scale American offensive against
them.
Tikrit.
Resistance bomb wounds two US troops at crossroads
near Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by a US military column by the crossroads where the main road from
Tikrit splits into one road southeast to ad-Dawr and another northeast towards
Kirkuk.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been
planted by the intersection blew up as a US patrol was driving by, disabling one
Humvee and severely wounding two US soldiers.
Yathrib.
Son of Chairman of Puppet Municipal Council of Yathrib
abducted.
In a dispatch posted at 3:10pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men abducted the son of
the puppet Municipal Council for Yathrib, some 75km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
residents of al-Yathrib who witnessed the incident as saying that armed men
abducted Nuwwar, the son of Shaykh 'Abd ar-Razzaq ath-Thamir, the Chairman of
the puppet Municipal Council and led him away to an unknown destination.
Babil Province.
Al-Haswah.
Two Resistance car bombers blast puppet "National
Guard" headquarters in al-Haswah, south of Baghdad, one after the other. Dozens
reported killed or injured.
In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance fida’i
fighters drove explosives-laden cars one after the other into a headquarters of
the Iraqi puppet "National Guard" in the al-Haswah area, about 50km south of
Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in al-Haswah as saying that two Resistance fighters drove two car
bombs into one of the headquarters of the puppet "Iraqi National Guards" in the
area, killing or wounding dozens of puppet "Guards." Puppet "Guard" vehicles
and ambulances could be seen evacuating bodies of the dead and wounded from
scene of the double explosion.
Diyala Province.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet army column in al-Miqdadiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a
patrol of Iraqi puppet army forces on the main road in the area of al-Miqdadiyah,
about 85km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the
side of the road near the Salamah district blew up as a puppet army patrol drove
past. The explosion disabled one Nissan troop transport vehicle, killing two
Iraqi puppet soldiers and wounding three more of them.
At-Ta’mim Province.
Kirkuk.
Resistance bomb wounds officers in puppet police force
in Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 7:30pm Mecca time Tuesday evening,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a
puppet police patrol near the at-Ta’mim Provincial government building in Kirkuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in Kirkuk as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side
of the main road in the middle of the city blew up near the provincial
government building, as a puppet police patrol was driving by. The explosion
destroyed one patrol vehicle, wounding four puppet policemen, one of them a
colonel and another a major in the force.
Ar-Riyad.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet Army vehicle southwest
of ar-Riyad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Mecca time Tuesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the road between ar-Riyad and Bayji
southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported eyewitnesses in the ar-Riyad area, some 25km southwest of Kirkuk, as
saying that a bomb that had been planted on the road to Bayji blew up as an
Iraqi puppet army column was driving past. The explosion destroyed a military
vehicle, killing one puppet soldier and wounding five more of them.
