The document purportedly indicates that the US ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad agrees to allow the son of the chief of the pro-American Shi'i sectarian so-called "Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI)", 'Ammar 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Hakim, to export oil, officially regarding him as a transportation contractor for the resource. Al-Anbar Province.

Al-Qa’im.

Resistance rockets blast US camp near al-Qa’im Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 8pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters fired four rockets into a US military camp east of the city of al-Qa’im, near the Syrian border in western Iraq, at about 5pm local time Sunday afternoon.

The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported people who live in the vicinity of the American base as saying that the sound of an explosion shook the camp about one minute after the barrage, which sent thick black plumes of smoke rising from the US-occupied facility.

American helicopters were observed hovering at low altitude over the base after the attack.  US artillery responded to the rocket attack by firing four artillery shells at the al-Bu Mahall Gardens in the east of the city, setting some date palms and citrus trees aflame but inflicting no human casualties.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance rockets blast US-occupied camp west of ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 8:10pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four medium-range rockets into the former headquarters of the 8th Brigade of the Iraqi Army, a facility that the US occupation troops have occupied and turned into their headquarters in western ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage set off violent explosions inside the US-occupied facility and sent plumes of smoke rising from the camp.  American helicopters could be seen hovering over the facility and surrounding areas at low altitude for some time after the attack.

US soldier killed in Resistance ambush in ar-Ramadi Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 7:35pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a patrol of four US military vehicles that had been stopped since noon in front of the gate of the provincial government building, opposite the photography and photocopying shops in the center of ar-Ramadi on Sunday afternoon.  The Resistance fighters fired two RPG7 armor-piercing rocket-propelled grenades at the vehicles, disabling one and setting it on fire.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local witnesses as saying that one American soldier who was inside the Humvee was killed and others who were standing around it were wounded.

The witnesses said that the second rocket actually missed its target, destroying a portable electric generator that served the building.

The correspondent reported that the occupation forces responded violently to the attack, unleashing savage gunfire for a solid 15 minutes.  They then withdrew with the body of the dead soldier and the wounded men, estimated by the local witnesses as numbering three or four.

Al-Habbaniyah.

Resistance Katyusha rockets blast US as-Saqr base in al-Habbaniyah at dawn Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US-occupied as-Saqr Airbase in al-Habbaniyah, 69km west of Baghdad, at dawn Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Madani neighborhood near the base as saying that the barrage set off explosions inside the American-occupied facility.

After the attack, sirens wailed inside the US base and American helicopters were observed hovering over the surrounding areas searching for the Resistance fighters who fired the rockets, but in vain.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bombards US headquarters east of al-Fallujah late Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of US forces east of al-Fallujah late on Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Fallujah as saying that the barrage set off violent explosions that shook the US-occupied headquarters.

Resistance bomb blasts US forces southeast of al-Fallujah late Saturday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:30am Makkah time after midnight Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb had detonated by a US patrol on the road between al-Fallujah and the southwestern suburb 'Amiriyat al-Fallujah, 7km away at about 11am local time Saturday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb completely destroyed one Humvee in the patrol, reducing it to scattered pieces of metal.

The witnesses reported that not one of the American troops who had been aboard the Humvee came out, all evidently being killed instantly in the powerful explosion.

After the attack, US forces surrounded the entire area and arrested a number of youths in the region of al-Fahilat.

(Note: this attack was reported in the Iraqi Resistance Report for Saturday, 22 April as having taken place between western Baghdad’s al-'Amiriyah district and the city of al-Fallujah, but evidently it took place between al-Fallujah and al-Fallujah’s suburb of 'Amiriyat al-Falluja.)

Baghdad.

Bodies of 25 murdered Sunnis found in various parts of Baghdad on Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that from Sunday morning to Sunday evening a total of 25 bodies of murdered Sunnis were found in various parts of Baghdad.  Some had been shot, others had been tortured to death.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Dr. Mahmud as-Sa'd, a physician at 'Adnan Khayrallah Hospital as saying, Twenty-five bodies were found Sunday morning, midday, and afternoon in various parts of Baghdad. Fourteen bodies of Sunni Iraqis were found in the al-Kasrah area, most of them shopkeepers who had been abducted from the Jamilah area and the industrial ash-Shurajah area on Saturday."

Dr. as-Sa'd went on: "Seven bodies of Sunni Iraqis were found in the garbage dump area in southern Baghdad, one of them the body of an Imam and two students at the Islamic School for Scholars of Islamic Law (Madrasat al-Fuqaha’ al-Islamiyah) under the Abu Hanifah an-Nu'man School."

"Four bodies of Iraqi Sunnis found on Sunday afternoon had been killed in a savage manner, Dr. as-Sa'd said.  "Their hands and feet had been tied and they were blindfolded and gagged, and then the veins in their necks were cut.  The were left to bleed for about two hours until they died."  Dr. as-Sa'd said that the same method of killing had been used by the Iranian military during its war with Iraq in the 1980s.

After recovery from the various parts of Baghdad, the 25 bodies were brought to the morgue pending the arrival of their relatives to pick them up.

Disputed document surfaces implicating son of SCIRI chief in alleged smuggling of oil out of Iraq for his own benefit by permission of US Ambassador Khalilzad.

A copy of an official document ostensibly issued by the United Nations office in Baghdad has been circulating in political circles in occupied Iraq.

Quds Press reported from Baghdad on Sunday that copies of the document had reached a number of offices of political parties in the puppet regime in Baghdad, as well as the office of 'Ammar 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Hakim himself in an-Nafaf.  'Ammar al-Hakim rushed to issue a denial, "officially confirming that this license is a forgery, as is the signature of his excellency the General Secretary upon it."  The statement called for legal pursuit of the case, describing it as a fraud and forgery that defames the reputation of a prominent personality.

Quds Press noted, however, that the latest document had been preceded by other stories of high-ranking officials in the US-installed puppet regime smuggling Iraqi oil out of the country for their own personal benefit.  Quds Press said that there had been intelligence reports to the effect that a number of oil pipelines in the south of the country that were laid after the US occupation of Iraq are used exclusively to pump oil to Iraq’s southern ports for the personal benefit of former puppet regime politicians.

Two more puppet policemen were wounded in the blast.

At-Ta’mim Province.

Iraqi Resistance shoots down US Chinook helicopter with troops aboard northwest of Kirkuk Sunday evening.

In a bulletin posted at 7:05pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters shot down a US Chinook transport helicopter over the ad-Dibis area northwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported tanker drivers who were hauling fuel from ad-Dibis as saying that Resistance fighters shot down the Chinook helicopter a short while earlier with a surface-to-air rocket.  The rocket set the aircraft ablaze before it hit the ground.   They could tell that there were US soldiers aboard the large transport helicopter but were unable to say how many.

The witnesses said that the helicopter crashed near the complex in the ad-Dibis area, about 50 meters from the motor road.  At the time they were in the area, US troops had not yet come upon the scene.
