Five US troops reported killed when booby-trapped
poultry pen explodes around them in al-Khalidiyah Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 9pm Makkah time Saturday night,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb ripped through the
ranks of US troops doing raids and searches of several houses in the as-Sakkal
Street area of al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad on Saturday morning.
The al-Khalidiyah
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet
police in the city who asked not to be named as saying that the incident
occurred when a detachment of about 10 US soldiers were on one of their going
through an old vacant poultry pen on as-Sakkal Street. The Americans were
searching the pen in the course of raids and searches that they carry out
periodically in the houses and shops in that area. The source said that a
number of Iraqi puppet policemen were with the Americans on their raid. He said
that the poultry pen consisted of two rooms, each about six meters in length and
covered with a corrugated metal roof.
The correspondent
reported that evidently the Resistance had planted explosives in the pen with
remote control detonators that they could use whenever American troops went
inside.
After the explosion
American troops extracted from wreckage of the two rooms the bodies of five dead
US soldiers and six wounded troops, two of them in serious condition. The
wounded Americans were evacuated to the new military hospital just opened on 12
May in al-Habbaniyah.
Residents of houses near
the wrecked poultry pen told Mafkarat al-Islam that US troops sealed off
the neighborhood from 8am until noon local time. During that period they not
only evacuated all their casualties but cleaned up all the blood stains and
other evidence that Americans had been killed there. They brought in water
tankers specially to wash the streets. The US troops sprayed lots of water all
over the area and around the scene of the explosion in order to wipe out all
signs that there had been US casualties, the witnesses said. The Americans did
this after the wounded soldiers had bled all over the ground after having been
dug out of the wreckage of the pens.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier south of
ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 8:35pm Makkah time Saturday night,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
patrol on the main road in the southern part of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of
Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the at-Ta’mim
neighborhood as saying that the bomb exploded between their neighborhood and the
Kilometer 5 area to the south. The blast destroyed a Humvee, killing one US
soldier and wounding three more of them.
Fighting erupts in four districts in ar-Ramadi
Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 10:10am Makkah time Saturday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting had broken out between
Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation troops in various parts of ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for
Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that combat had erupted
and was still raging in the areas of al-Mal'ab ("the playing field"), as-Sufiyah,
al-Bu Jabir, and Suq Salalah ("the Salalah Market"). Because of the explosion
of fighting in various parts of the city, US forces have sealed ar-Ramadi off
from the world. Three American fighter-bombers were bombing and rocketing the
four sections of the city.
With roads cut by US
forces and with intense fighting underway, however, the Mafkarat al-Islam
correspondent was unable to get in to the area where the battles were underway.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance mortar round blasts checkpoint in 'Amiriyat
al-Fallujah; US troops respond by shooting at pedestrians.
In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Makkah time Saturday night,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters fired an 82mm
mortar round into a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet troops at
the entrance to the residential complex in the suburb of 'Amiriyat al-Fallujah,
about 7km southwest of al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for
Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that the
mortar shell struck a pickup belonging to the puppet troops, burning it up
completely. After the attack, the witnesses said, the US forces opened fire
randomly on pedestrians, wounding a number of civilians who were taken to
hospital for treatment.
Resistance bomb blasts US-Iraqi puppet army joint
patrol in al-Karmah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:58pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by a foot patrol of US and Iraqi puppet troops in the al-Karmah area
east of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad
The al-Fallujah
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Karmah as
saying that the bomb went off on the as-Subayhat Road in the al-Karmah area.
The explosion killed two Iraqi puppet troops and wounded two more of them and
two US soldiers.
Resistance car bomber blasts Iraqi puppet army camp on
New al-Fallujah Bridge.
In a dispatch posted at 10:12am Makkah time Saturday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i
fighter drove an explosives-laden car into an Iraqi puppet army encampment on
the new al-Fallujah Bridge near the western entrance to the city.
The al-Falluja
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet
police as saying that the Resistance car bomber destroyed a large part of the
camp and killed seven puppet soldiers and wounded six more of them.
Al-Qa’im.
Resistance car bomb kills five puppet policemen in al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb
exploded by the al-Qa’im puppet police station in the city of al-Qa’im in far
western Iraq near the Syrian border.
The al-Qa’im
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying
that an explosives-laden car that had been parked near the gate of the puppet
police station blew up, killing five puppet policemen and wounding 11 more of
them, three of those severely. The explosion also destroyed parts of the façade
of the puppet police station.
Quds Press
for its part, reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as claiming that a
Resistance fighter wearing an explosive vest blew himself up inside the puppet
police station during their morning briefing, killing five puppet police and
wounding about 10 more of them.
After the attack,
Quds Press reported that US soldiers cordoned off the area and called in
several helicopters that hovered in the sky over the area.

morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by a US military column on the highway near the al-Bu Munaysir Bridge
in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for
Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Abu Ghurayb as saying that a bomb
planted by the highway completely destroyed a US Humbvee, killing four American
troops aboard it.

youths following Resistance ambush of puppet "Shock Troop" patrol in
southeastern Baghdad’s az-Za'faraniyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 7:40pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet "Iraqi Interior
Ministry" arrested 15 Palestinian refugee youths following an Iraqi Resistance
ambush of puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)" in the
az-Za'faraniyah area of southeast Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in az-Za'faraniyah as saying that the Resistance attack began when
an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of a road near the
Palestinian housing complex blew up by a passing puppet "Shock Troop" patrol.
The explosion destroyed one patrol vehicle. Resistance fighters armed with
light and medium weapons then pounced on the puppet "Shock Troops," disabling a
second vehicle and killing five puppet "Shock troops" and wounding four more of
them.
After the ambush, puppet "Shock Troops" cordoned off the
area where the attack took place and the Palestinian neighborhood in
az-Za'faraniyah. They then launched a campaign or raids and arrests among the
Palestinian civilians, savagely beating them and arresting 15 of the Palestinian
refugee youths. Residents of az-Za'faraniyah who witnessed the raids told
Mafkarat al-Islam that the puppet "Shock Troops" burst into Palestinians’
homes by force and opened fire randomly, around the rooms and into the air in
order to terrify the women and children. They then rounded up, beat, and
arrested the 15 youths and led them away to an unknown destination.
The puppet "Shock Troops" have acquired an infamous
reputation for their abduction, torture, and murder of hundreds of civilians in
Iraq, most of them Sunni, as the US pursues its strategy of splitting Iraq along
sectarian and ethnic lines.

afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting had broken
out between Iraqi Resistance forces and puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock
Troops (Maghawir)" in the al-Jihad neibhborhood of western Baghdad.

reported eyewitnesses in al-Jihad as saying that the fighting erupted when
Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons ambushed a puppet "Shock
Troop" patrol in the neighborhood. The attack left one puppet "Shock Troop"

area at the time were also injured.

In a dispatch posted at 9:55am Makkah time Saturday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a mysterious bomb exploded near
a bus stop in Baghdad’s Madinat as-Sadr district on Saturday morning. The bus
stop is used by workers going to job sites and the blast killed 19 civilians and
wounded 53 more of them, most of them severely.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported eyewitnesses in Madinat al-Sadr as saying that the bomb had been
planted by the side of the road near the car park and bus stop where laborers
and men seeking jobs were gathered.
Mafkarat al-Islam noted that the Iraqi Resistance
organizations and many Iraqi organizations had indicated that US occupation
forces were behind such attacks that target civilians in an attempt to stir up
sectarianism and spark a civil war in the hopes that this might save their
failing fortunes in Iraq.

Resistance bombards US-occupied al-Bakr Airbase with
mortars.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired
eight mortar roundsinto the US military headquarters in the al-Bakr Air base in
the Yathrib area, about 100km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
that the barrage set of explosions inside the US-occupied facility and sent
plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Al-Mushahadah.
Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet "Shock Troop"
soldier in al-Mushahadah.
In a dispatch posted at 3pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and
killed a puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop (Maghawir)" soldier in the
south of al-Mushahadah, 25km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in al-Mushahadah as saying that an Iraqi sharpshooter shot and
killed a puppet "Shock Troop" soldier while he was on observation duty at a
checkpoint on the main road to the south of al-Mushahadah. The puppet soldier
took a direct hit from the sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by a US patrol on the main road south of the city of Balad, about 85km
north of Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in Balad as saying that the bomb, which was planted by the side of
the road to ad-Dujayl, destroyed a US Humvee, killing or wounding the four
Americans aboard it. At the time of reporting, US troops had cut the road to
the area and were surrounding the scene, preventing anyone from approaching.

US forces kill 27 local residents – including a woman
and four youths – and arrest 525 in nighttime sweep through al-Jazirah area

In a dispatch posted at 11:12am Makkah time Saturday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the course of their sweep
through the al-Jazirah area south of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad,
during Friday-Saturday night, US forces had arrested 525 local residents and
killed 27 more, among them one woman and four youths.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
that the Americans arrested every single adult male in the area, other than
those whom they killed. The town is now a settlement of women – all of them in
desperate tears – the correspondent reported Saturday morning.
The Americans and their Iraqi puppet army allies robbed the
houses they raided, stealing gold and valuables, before departing the area at
4am local time Saturday morning.
The correspondent reported that residents of the area of
al-Majma' located not far from al-Jazirah came over to al-Jazirah after dawn on
Saturday to bury the bodies of the residents shot dead by the Americans during
their nighttime raid. The dead were buried in the local Martyrs Cemetery.

morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol on the main road in the western part
of Ba'qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in Ba'qubah as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road
near a popular coffee house in the western part of the city blew up by a passing
puppet police patrol, destroying one patrol vehicle, and killing four puppet
policemen and wounding one other.

Al-Yusufiyah.
Resistance Katyusha rockets slam into joint US-Iraqi
puppet army headquarters in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance blasted
the headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in al-Yusufiyah,
25km southwest of Baghdad, with three medium-range Katyusha rockets.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the rockets scored direct hits on the
headquarters, setting off violent explosions and sending clouds of smoke rising
into the sky.
Numerous American helicopters were seen landing inside the
headquarters after the barrage as other helicopters were observed hovering at
low altitude over the camp and surrounding areas.
Al-Musayyib.
Fifteen bodies of Sunnis tortured and murdered by
puppet "Interior Ministry" forces found in al-Musayyib.
In a dispatch posted at 10:22am Makkah time Saturday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet army troops had a
short while earlier discovered 15 bodies of Sunni Iraqis murdered by
pro-American Shi'i sectarian militias in al-Musayyib, about 70km south of
Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a
source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that the 15 were found with their
hands bound, their eyes blindfolded and with signs of extremely severe torture
visible on their bodies. They were found less than one kilometer from puppet
"Iraqi Interior Ministry" Prison No. 3.
The puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry is largely staffed by
pro-American Shi'i sectarian members of the Badr Brigade militia who became the
backbone of the puppet regime’s "security forces" after the American occupation
of Iraq in 2003. Puppet "Interior Ministry" forces as well as the pro-US Shi'i
sectarian militias have been identified as the "death squads" known for
abducting, torturing, and murdering hundreds of Iraqis, most of them Sunni, as
the US pursues the apparent strategy of partitioning Iraq on ethnic and
sectarian lines.

Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol on the road to at-Tuz south of the city
of Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a source in the Iraqipuppet police in the city as saying that the bomb
disabled a personnel carrier, killing two Iraqi puppet troops and wounding two
more of them.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier in
al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time Saturday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman
shot and killed a US soldier in the industrial zone in southern al-Mawsil (Mosul).
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses in the al-Wahdah neighborhood, adjacent to the industrial zone as
saying that a US patrol was driving down the main road from al-Wahdah to the
zone when one of the American troops took a direct hit from a Resistance
sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.
Resistance car bomb rips through US patrol in al-Mawsil
midday Saturday.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military
patrol in the as-Sukkar neighborhood of the northern city of al-Mawsil at
12:30pm local time midday Saturday.
A source in the puppet security services told Quds Press
that an explosives-packed black Opel car that was parked in the neighborhood
blew up as the US patrol drove past. The explosion destroyed one American
armored vehicle. The correspondent was unable to obtain information on the
nature or extent of US casualties, but reported that three civilians who were
nearby at the time were killed.
Afterwards, US troops closed off the area, preventing
anyone fom approaching as helicopters flew in and hovered at low altitude over
the area.
