New images of Abu Ghraib abuse aired
February 15, 2006
An Australian television network aired previously unpublished video and photographs on Wednesday of what it said was the abuse of Iraqis in US military custody at Abu Ghraib prison in 2003, including a man beating his head against a cell door.
The images of naked prisoners, some bloodied and lying on the floor, were taken about the same time as earlier photos that sparked protests and outrage in the Middle East in 2004, the Special Broadcasting Services' "Dateline" programme reported.
SBS refused to give details on the source of the photos and video clips but said they were among those the American Civil Liberties Union was trying to obtain from the US government under a Freedom of Information request.
Several new images broadcast appeared to show former Cpl Charles Graner, Jr, who is serving a 10-year prison term at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, after being convicted of abusing Iraqi captives.
The authenticity of the images shown by SBS could not be independently confirmed, but they were consistent with the earlier photographs of abuse by American soldiers, which prompted a US congressional investigation and military trials for some soldiers involved.
Many of the images were more graphic than those previously published, including some showing what appear to be corpses of people who SBS said had died at the prison.
In Washington, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said he did not know whether US officials had reviewed the photos and video clips or whether they were among images the Pentagon has been withholding from public release since 2004.

The one wearing the green gloves had 2 choices here: He could face charges for s exually molesting a 5 year old Amerikan child; or go to Iraq where he could "hav e his way" with as many innocent men women and children in Iraq without fear of retribution.
This animal murdered at least 9 innocent Iraqis and sodomized numerous young boy s at Abu Ghraib by his own "bragging Rights".
This piece of human waste should be facing the same judge as Saddam Hussein is n ow facing in that Kangaroo court in Baghdad.
The current Fascist junta in this country views ALL AMERIKANS AS ABOVE THE LAW w hen it comes to the practice of genocide on the people of Islam.
My heart aches over the vile actions that those animals have visited on your peo ple to favor and appease "Gods Chosen People". Their God is not my God.
It may not be a Godly thought; but: I would love to see the "one in the green gl oves" burned and hung from a bridge, as his leaders are taken before a world cou rt for THEIR crimes against God and Man.

We have liars, thieves, murderers and traitors in the U.S go vernment at this time, but more and more people are waking up. This dispicable, filthy behaviour will soon be corrected. |

I didn't perceive the evil among the elit e/ultra rich of every "developed/civilized" country, including this here America. The acts are appalling, and the fault of those same elite people,(demons),who s educe their footmen, who then become addicted slaves to the system that now cont rols almost everything. But I know who will have the last laugh and I know what class of people they wil l be. This one schemes and that one schemes and God - He is the best of schemers! Blessed are the poor. |

I cannot apologize for something I did not know was happening, and again, if I c ould, I would.
However I will not have to apologize for not trying to stop the terror my govern ment is causing, and the inhumane torture of helpless and likely innocent victim s of our imperialistic attacks. I am fighting back, first by posting a controver sial website intended to expose the criminals now in charge, and then by action this summer, organizing and participating in massive protest rallies.

Thank you and please know that the majority of US citizens are shocked and outra ged at this barbaric behavior being commited in our name.

The blatant disregard for international human rights and humanitarian law in the "war on terror" continued to make a mockery of President George Bush's claims t hat the USA was the global champion of human rights. | Comment pos ted: by gex99 on 20 Feb 2006 - 05:47 | | I am ashamed of the of these 'humans'. These images reinforce the belief that th is is not a war against terror, but a "war between terrorists". |
| Comment pos ted: by actmad on 04 Jun 2006 - 19:34 | If patriotism has to precipitate us into dishonour, if there is no precipice of inhumanity over which nations and men will not throw themselves, then, why in fa ct do we go to so much trouble to become, or to remain, human?
--Jean-Paul Sartre
As I sit here in America, I am wondering where this "majority of Americans" who are outraged by these all-too civilized and depraved acts are? I haven't notice d them at antiwar rallies or speeches or joining sit-in at their congressmans of fices or rising up en masse from the schools, businesses or churches? As long a s we continue with the delusion that somehow we as Americans are not complicit in the actions of our soldiers and government, and have not been complicit in the actions throughout our history since our home grown terrorism against the indigenous people of this country, nothing is going to change. This is not aberrant behaviour. These methods of torture are written down in the CIA "torture manual." Look it up. And every country and its silent citizens that support the murderous US regime are also complicit. In this and other so-called democracies (for the people and of the people) that have invaded Iraq and continue to murder its people it is time to stand up for human decency and say "hell no we won't go."
"Down with Empire. Up with Spring, up with life."
