The number of documented deaths today is 13 including a child; 4 martyrs in each of Homs and Idlib, 3 martyrs in Hama and 2 in Daraya (Damascus suburbs).

Martyrs of the Arab monitors : Since the Arab League monitors entered Syria, the Local Coordination Committees have documented the death of 315 martyrs and the detention of 125 including 7 children. Of the martyrs, 24 were children and 15 died under torture.


Daraa: Harra: Intense gunfire from all the directions of the city and reports on clashes between the regime's forces and defected soldiers.

Aleppo: Two detained girls were released as a result of a sit-in by the people in front of the Criminal Security branch in Al-Ashrafia neighborhood. The youth continued to come from the surrounding neighborhoods and they remain persistent in their sit-in despite the numerous attempts by security forces to disperse them.

Idlib: Saraqeb: Martyrdom of Sabir Ahmad Nassar by security forces' gunfire.

Homs: Rastan: Intense gunfire shootings are being heard at the checkpoints due to the defection of approximately 50 fully-equipped soldiers and a total blackout in most areas of the city.

Aleppo: Arrival of reinforcements of security forces, the maintenance of order, ambulance, and fire to the headquarter of Criminal security branch, after failed attempts by Anas Al-Shamy a member of parliament, who promised to release the girls an hour after the end of the sit-in.

Aleppo: Ashrafia: Arrival of security reinforcements and heavily armed security units with sticks stationed in the vicinity of Ashrafia area, in order to intimidate the sitters, who are present in front of the Criminal Security branch in Ashrafia since about 2 O'clock at noon to demand the release of dozens of detainees including girls. The number of sitters reached hundreds and the number is still increasing with the arrival of more people from different areas.

Damascus: Barzeh: Shabiha kidnapped Sheikh Yousuf Ali on Friday. He is the father of Mahmoud Ali, a student in Media College who has also been arrested in the past.

Aleppo: More people and young men from Al-Sakhor neighborhood, Hanano neighborhood, and Al-Bab road are flocking to participate in the sit-in of the people of Al-Ashrafia neighborhood in front of the Criminal Security branch.

Aleppo: in an attempt to negotiate an end to the sit-in, Member of Parliament Anas Al-Shamy has arrived to initiate a dialogue with the protesters holding the sit-in in front of the Criminal Security branch in Al-Ashrafia.

Idlib: a demonstration started in Thawra Street in the city. The protesters called for the overthrow of the regime.

Latakia: Security forces went on arbitrary arrests in Alraml Aljanoubi distirict.

Latakia: A huge explosion was heard in Alraml Aljanoubi district and heavy security was deplyed there after that.

Daraa : Al-Hara : a demonstration started in the easter neighbourhood chanting for freedom and bringing the regime to justice, also demanding the Arab League observers to be objective and serious in performing their tasks.

Daraa: Security forces are shooting heavily in Sabeel neighborhood, running over demonstrators, arresting the wounded, and launching campaign of raids and destruction of houses, all of this is 300 meter away from the White Rose Hotel, Which is where the observers committee members live.

Aleppo: A night time demonstration got out in Akhtrin and another in Abzimo, where protesters chanted for freedom and toppling the regime in the new year.

Damascus : Asali : a demonstration started from the Huthaifa mosque after the night prayers in solidarity with Daraya, chanting for the downfall of the regime.

Hasaka : Shadadi : dense security deployment in all city streets after the daily peaceful demonstrations. Security forces arrested Houssam Ahmad Alfahd and Ahmad Dagheem.

Hassakeh: Yaerbia: A nighttime demonstration started in solidarity with the besieged cities, chanted for freedom and toppling the regime.

Idlib: Jabal AlZawiyah: extensive gunfire shooting at the city especially from the checkpoint at Prophet Ayoob's incline area also shootings at Ebleen town.

Idlib: Jabal Al-Zawyeh: Defected military recruit Mohammad Ahmad Qador was martyred by security forces near Mastoma where he was with two of his collegues. His body is now in Aleppo Military Hospital, and he is from Al-Maghara village in Jabal Al-Zawyeh.

Aleppo : big security deployment in the Saladdine neighbourhood to prevent any demonsrtations there.

Damascus: Jobar: A demonstration started in solidarity with the besieged cities. Participants are chanting for freedom and briniging the regime to justice.

Aleppo: More demonstrators are coming to the sit-in in Al-Ashrafia neighborhood, the numbers are estimated in hundreds.

Damascus Suburbs: A nighttime demonstration started in Yelda in solidarity with besieged cities and the participants chanted for bringing the regime to justice.

Aleppo: A nighttime demonstration started in Marjeh neighborhood, the demonstrators chanted for toppling the regime and raised a large independence flag.

Daraa : Basr Al-Harir : a first lieutenant in the Syrian Army, from the Chemistry brigade, has defected along with four other soldiers.

Aleppo: A night time demonstration started in Masakin Hanano. Participants are chanting for freedom and demanding overthrow of the regime and bringing it to justice.

Deir Ezzor: a nighttime sit in near the Othman Mosque in the Old Airport neighborhood. Security forces keep coming to the area and trying to disperse the sit in by shooting live gunfire.

Banyas: A nighttime demonstration started in Medan neighborhood. Participants are chanting for Homs and otehr besieged cities and the regime's ouster.

Homs: Sporadic gunfire shooting is heard nearby the Central Prison's roundabout in AlQosoor neighborhood.

Deir Ezzor: Security forces are raiding the Hawayij town and launching an extensive detention campaign.

Damascus suburbs: Daraya: Tayseer Habib and another young man from the Ghazzi family were martyred today. More than 30 were wounded, some critically, as a result of intense gunfire by the security forces. Raids campaign continues.

Damascus: Barzeh: a massive demonstration started today. Chants were for freedom and the regime's ouster.

Daraa: Harra: Demonstrations started in the inner neighborhoods of the city despite the extensive spread of security forces. Participants were reacting towards using live gunfire to disperse today's demonstration and chanting gor freedom and the regime's ouster.

Daraa: Muzereb: A demonstration started with children's participation chanting for the besieged cities and the regime's ouster.

Damascus: Midan: an evening demonstration started from the Ghawas mosque. Participants carried the Independence flags and called for the overthrow of the regime.

Damascus Suburbs: Saqba: A demonstration started in Liberty Square. Participants are chanting for freedom and bringing the regime into justice.

Aleppo: A demonstration in solidarity with Homs and the other besieged cities started from the Nour mosque in the New Aleppo neighborhood; participants chanted for the regime's ouster.

Aleppo: Andan: A demonstration in solidarity with the besieged cities started; participants chanted for the regime's ouster in the New Year.

Deir Ezzor: a demonstration has started from the Othman Bin Affan mosque at the Old Airport Street. The protesters called for the ouster of the regime. In related news, clashes took place between army defectors and security forces agents at the Ghassan Abboud Square.

Deir Ezzor: A nighttime demonstration started from Aisha mosque in Hamidieh neighborhood, chanted for freedom and toppling the regime.

Damascus Suburbs: Madaya: A nighttime demonstration started from Al-Shamaly mosque in solidarity with the besieged cities, chanted for toppling the regime and condemned the Arab League.

Damascus suburbs: Harasta: demonstrations started from several mosques in solidarity with the besieged cities. They called for the ouster of the regime and demanded the release of the detainees.

Aleppo: Maskaneh: an evening demonstration called for freedom and the ouster of the regime in the New Year.

Damascus Suburbs: Daraya: Security forces kidnapped martyrdom Ghiyath Matar's brother-in-law while he was undergoing an operation at the hospital after being shot in today's demonstration.

Damascus: A nighttime demonstration started at Abu Ayoub al-Ansari Mosque in al-Zahera Jadida area. Protestors chanted for the ouster of the regime and crossed the street towards.

Daraa: Harra: Security forces have renewed their firing campaign using heavy weapons and machine guns. They are shooting at houses, alleys, and anything that moves.

Damascus Suburbs: Daraya: Anti-regime demonstrations started in multiple areas in the city and there are sounds of gunfire from heavy weapons.

Homs: Mahmoud Sabri Murad was martyred due to gunfire from the security checkpoints stationed in Bayada.

Damascus: A number of wounded are reported after security forces' and shabiha's heavy gunfire on a group of youths gathered in the Qadam area, at Freedom Square near the Mujahid Al-Amiri Al-Dimashqi School. The youths were not demonstrating.

Daraa: Yadoudeh: There is an electricity blackout in the whole region, including the surrounding villages.

Daraa: Harra: A massive demonstration is taking place in the north and west of the city, and is headed towards the center. Protesters are chanting for freedom and for the regime's ouster this year.

Hama: Security forces arrest anyone who tries to reach the Al-Jab Roundabout area, where four Arab League observers are stationing. Whoever does succeed in reaching the observers is arrested immediately after their meeting with the observers

Damascus Suburbs: Daraya: Heavy gunfire near the police station, the Shariyeh High School, and the Khowlani Mosque. Protesters respond by throwing rocks amid widespread security and shabhia near the police station.

Idlib: Kafr Tkhareem: security forces are opening fire randomly at the city's main market to disperse a demonstration started a while ago. It is also launching a detentions campaign with feral beating of the protestors. One detainee we know at the moment is: Alaa AlSaeed Bin Khalid who was kidnapped after being injured; beaten with the back of a riffle on his head. Alaa's father is a detainee as well.

Damascus Suburbs: Douma: elements from the Syrian army with one car belonging to Riots Police are breaking the locks of on-strike shops at the cross between Jalaa and Khorsheed streets.

Daraa: Khirbet Ghazala: security forces enforced with the army, Berdy-M wagons and BTRs started combing the town from the International highway direction to capture defected soldiers. This accompained an intense shooting from the two wagons but though the people continued their strike for the 22nd day.

Aleppo: A sit-in in front of Crimes Security branch in Ashrafieh neighborhood were 2 girls are detained after being arrested during distribuing flyers for the revolution in Forqan area.

Daraa: Basser Al-Harir: Violent clashes between security forces and the defected soldiers. Huge explosions are shaking the town. Security and military reinforcement have arrived to participate.

Hama: Martyrdom of Mohammad Ghazal in one of the city's hospital from his severe wounds of shooting by security members two days ago.

Daraa: Basr AlHareer: intense gunfire shootings from all checkpoints and some tanks where situated at the main road and near the Ali Bin Abi Talib Mosque accompaining a total blackout. The people in the city are sending an outcry for the Arab League observers to come and see their real suffering.
