...Iraqi Resistance forces beat back a major US Marine attack on al-Fallujah from the southwest. The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US troops tried to storm the city from the al-Fallujah Dam area, to the southwest of the city. US tanks and armored vehicles took part. Contrary to the Americans’ expectations, however, the Resistance observed their attempt and fired back with 60mm and 82mm mortars, RPG7s, SBG9s, beginning around 5:30am local time Tuesday morning. Al-Fallujah - ar-Ramadi Province.


US bombards al-Fallujah Monday night.


US forces bombarded the al-Jaghifi and ash-Shurtah neighborhoods in the south of al-Fallujah at sunset Monday with artillery and tank shells from 5:30pm until the time the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent filed his report, posted at 7:40pm local time (6:40pm Mecca time) Monday night. Resistance fighters in al-Fallujah were returning fire.


US attacks continued into the night.

In a dispatch posted at 1am local time Tuesday morning (midnight Mecca time) the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent wrote that two US planes had fired their heavy machineguns on the al-Jaghifi and al-Mu'allimin neighborhoods in the north of the city.

US forces also pressed the puppet so-called Iraqi national guard to attempt to storm into the city but Resistance fighters drove them back. Eyewitnesses reported seeing dead and wounded "national guardsmen" after the failed attack.


Early morning fighting in al-Fallujah.

About 20 US troops attempted to concentrate in advanced positions in the direction of the al-Ghanifi neighborhood of al-Fallujah at dawn Monday, but the Resistance observed them and attacked them from three sides. Ten US troops were killed and six others wounded in the engagement. Frustrated in their attempt to advance, a US armored vehicle came forward to retrieve the dead and wounded.

Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds at a US checkpoint near al-Fallujah early Monday. US troops then responded firing eight artillery shells into the city, destroying a house and wounding three civilians.


Resistance ambush Sunday night in ar-Ramadi.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US column, destroying one in an attack at about 10pm Sunday in ar-Ramadi. Resistance fighters fired a rocket at another vehicle but it managed to flee. Ten American troops were reportedly killed in the engagement.

Unmanned plane downed.


Iraqi Resistance fighters firing sniper rifles shot down an unmanned US spy plane at 2pm Monday, causing it to crash in gardens in Hur Rajab in ad-Durah, the southern suburb of Baghdad.


Six Badr Brigade collaborator gunmen assassinated.

Iraqi Resistance forces hurled grenades and fired Kalashnikov assault rifles, killing six Badr Brigade collaborators and destroyed a Nissan Land Cruiser and a white car belonging to the organization at 2:40. One of the dead gunmen was believed to be an important collaborator official. The attack occurred in the al-Fahamah area of Hayfa Street in Baghdad.


Two US troops killed, two wounded in rocket attack in al-Makasib.

At 3pm Monday Iraqi Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at US forces on the highway passing through al-Makasib in Baghdad, destroying a Humvee and killing two US soldiers and wounding two others.


Two Badr Brigade gunmen captured by Iraqi Resistance.

At 5:20pm Iraqi Resistance fighters commandeered a white 2004 Nissan Land Cruiser belonging to the collaborationist Badr Brigades and took two Badr Brigade collaborationist gunmen prisoner in al-I'lam neighborhood in Baghdad.


Three US troops killed in Monday afternoon ambush in az-Za'faraniyah.

At 2:45pm Monday afternoon an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded, destroying a US military Humvee. Three US troops were killed and another wounded in the az-Za'faraniyah area south of Baghdad.


Bradley armored vehicle destroyed by land mine.

An Iraqi Resistance anti-tank land mine exploded under a US Bradley armored vehicle on Airport Road near the Ibn Taymiyah Mosque at 8:15am local time, destroying the vehicle according to Mafkarat al-Islam’s local correspondent.


Battle rages in ad-Durah Monday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces firing RPG7s, C5Ks, and BKCs battled US troops in the 'Arab Jabbur area of ad-Durah Monday morning, destroying two US armored vehicles, one a Bradley and also destroying a Humvee. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that 18 US troops were killed in the battle. US troops opened fire indiscriminately on civilians, killing eight of them and destroying five houses. Four Iraqi Resistance fighters were also killed and three wounded in the fighting.


Four killed in Monday morning attack on US supply convoy.

Iraqi Resistance forces at 10:30am Monday fired rocket-propelled grenades in the al-Mushahadah area near al-Ishaqi in Baghdad, destroying a Humvee and a civilian truck supplying the US forces. Four persons were killed in the attack.


Two British soldiers killed in al-Mahawil.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a British column in al-Mahawil at 2:30pm Monday. Resistance forces also fired RPG7 rockets, destroying a Landrover and moderately striking a British armored vehicle, killing two British soldiers.


One US soldier killed Monday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under US forces in the area of the old Diyala Bridge at 1:45pm Monday, killing one US soldier and disabling a tank.


Five US troops killed in afternoon bombing in Abu Ghurayb.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at 3pm Monday afternoon in the Abu Ghurayb area killing five US troops and destroying a Bradley armored vehicle.


Bomb kills one, wounds three US troops in ar-Ridwaniyah.

At 2:16pm Monday afternoon an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under US forces in the ar-Rashid area of ar-Ridwaniyah southwest of Baghdad, destroying the small armored vehicle and killing one US soldier and wounding three others, two of them seriously, the third moderately.


Four US troops killed in ambush in al-Mushahadah.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired two C5K rockets at a US Abrams tank in al-Mushahadah in the area of a river branch, north of Baghdad at 2:30pm Monday afternoon, destroying the Abrams and killing four US troops.


Five US marines killed in afternoon ambush west of Abu Ghurayb.

Five US Marines were killed and a US military truck and US Humvee were destroyed in a Monday afternoon ambush. At about 3:30pm Monday a series of Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded under a US patrol west of Abu Ghurayb. The supply truck that was blown up had been loaded with electric devices for US military use.


Three US troops killed in Monday morning ambush.

At 11am Monday morning Iraqi Resistance forces destroyed a US Humvee and killed two and wounded three US troops when they attacked a US patrol in the al-I'lam neighborhood of Baghdad.


Four US troops killed in Monday morning bombing in al-Masafi.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol near al-Masafi at 9:30am Monday. Local witnesses said that four bodies of American soldiers flew about the scene as the bomb destroyed the Humvee in which they were riding.


Three Marines killed in bombing in ar-Ridwaniyah.

Three US Marines were killed and a US Bradley armored vehicle destroyed at 1pm Monday afternoon when a heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol on the al-Fattuh road in the ar-Ridwaniyah area southwest of Baghdad. The blast sent pieces of the armored vehicle flying through the air.


Two US troops killed in Monday ambush.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a small US armored vehicle in an Ameircan patrol on the road between as-Sayyidiyah and ad-Durah, killing two US troops on Monday.


Three US soldiers - one a woman - killed in Monday afternoon attack.

One US soldier was killed when Iraqi Resistance forces at 1pm Monday fired two RPG7 rockets and destroyed a US supply truck laded with mineral water and provisions. Afterwards one US male and one female soldier were killed as well in the attack that took place on the highway passing through al-'Amiriyah in Baghdad.


Details on capture of American, Nepalese, and two Arabs Monday afternoon.

At about 2pm Monday afternoon, Iraqi Resistance fighters kidnapped a US citizen and a Nepalese after they returned from their lunch break, taking advantage of the temporary absence of some of guards who were away having their lunch. The Resistance fighters surprised the remaining guards and kidnapped the two foreigners, according to the Baghdad correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam. One Iraqi guard was killed in the attack and one American, one Nepalese, and two Arabs were taken prisoner.


Two die in Resistance attack on US fuel tank truck.

At 9am Monday Iraqi Resistance forces fired a rocket-propelled grenade, blowing up a US military fuel truck in the al-'Adl neighborhood of Baghdad, killing two persons aboard the vehicle.


US soldier killed in Monday morning ambush.

At about 8:45am Monday Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under an American patrol on al-'Amiriyah in Baghdad, disabling a US Humvee and killing one US solider.


Ten Americans said killed in fighting in al-Mushahadah.

US forces attacked al-Mushahadah on Hayfa Street Monday morning, arresting 30 Iraqis including a large number of children, on charges of throwing grenades at US troops. Resistance forces attacked the Americans in the area, destroying a Bradley armored vehicle with two SPG9 rockets, and killing three US footsoldiers. A handgrenade that was thrown killed seven more US troops.


Resistance battles US on Hayfa Street.

Iraqi Resistance forces thwarted a US attempt to break into at-Tala’i' Square on Hayfa Street by firing BKCs and throwing hand grenades, and destroying two Humvees and killing five US troops.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US supply truck in the al-Mushahadah area near al-Ishaqi killing its Asian driver.


Fighting Sunday night in al-Mushahadah.

Fierce battles took place on Monday near the al-Mushahadah area on Hayfa Street at about 10:30pm Sunday in which Resistance fighters fired RPG7s, C5Ks and BKCs, destroying two US Bradley armored vehicles and killing seven US troops. Three Iraqis were killed in the fighting, one Resistance fighter and two civilians.

Iraqi Resistance forces killed three US troops when they destroyed their Humvee with RPG7 rockets on the highway that passed through al-Ghazaliyah south of Baghdad on Sunday afternoon.


Resistance downs Chinook helicopter Sunday.

On Sunday evening Iraqi Resistance forces taking cover in farm fields fired a Strela rocket and shot down a very low-flying US Chinook helicopter at the as-Siyahi Crossing in al-'Amiriyah in Baghdad.


Resistance assassinates deputy governor of Baghdad.

Iraqi Resistance forces shot and killed the puppet deputy governor of Baghdad, Hatim Kamil 'Abd al-Fattah, and six of his bodyguards in ad-Durah as he was on his way to work. Resistance fighters fired RPG7 rockets, Kalashnikov assault rifles and BKCs and hurled hand grenades in their attack. Two white Land Cruisers were destroyed in the assault.

At about 3pm Sunday an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in the Abu Ghurayb area of Baghdad destroying an armored vehicle and killing three US Marines.


Resistance assassinates Badr Brigade collaborator.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a high official in the Shi'i chauvinist Badr Brigades firing Kalashnikov automatic weapons at his white Nissan in the Salman Bak area. The puppet official was killed.


Two US troops killed in attack on supply truck Sunday.

At 3pm Sunday afternoon Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked and destroyed a US supply truck in at-Tarimiyah, north of Baghdad, killing two US troops.


Four US troops killed in az-Za'faraniyah Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked US troops in az-Za'faraniyah with BKCs and rocket-propelled grenades Sunday afternoon, destroying a Bradley armored vehicle and killing four US troops.


Two US troops killed Sunday.

At 5pm Sunday Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rockets at a civilian supply truck belonging to the US military between as-Sayyidiyah and ad-Durah, killing two US troops.

At 2:30pm Sunday Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in the Zawbi' area west of Baghdad, destroying a Humvee, killing three and seriously wounding two other US troops .


Four Badr Brigade gunmen killed Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces destroyed a white Land Cruiser belonging to the Shi'i chauvinist Badr Brigades, killing four Badr Brigade gunmen at 4pm Sunday. The Resistance fighters fired Kalashnikov assault rifles and lobbed hand grenades at the collaborator gunmen in the ash-Sha'b area of Baghdad.


Resistance assassinates collaborator Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces on Sunday attacked a high official in the puppet so-called "Iraqi national guard," firing BKC automatic weapons at him near the al-Ishaqi area of Baghdad. The puppet official and two of his companions were killed.


Three US special forces killed Sunday.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired an RPG7 anti-tank rocket at 3:45pm Sunday on Airport Road opposite the al-Jihad neighborhood, destroying one armored GMC and killing three US special forces military personnel.

Al-Latifiyah.


Five American troops killed in Monday morning ambush.


Iraqi Resistance forces attacked and destroyed a US Humvee and military provisions supply truck in al-Latifiyah with rocket-propelled grenades and BKC automatic weapons, killing five American troops at 10am.


Four Marines killed.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded in the path of a US patrol made up of two armored vehicles and three Humvees at 3:15pm Monday, destroying one armored vehicle and killing four US Marines.


Salah ad-Din Province.


Resistance bombards US bases in Tikrit.


Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the northern and southern palaces of Saddam Hussein in Tikrit, both currently occupied by American invaders and used as bases with 82mm mortar rounds. Afterwards at 8 O’Clock US aircraft prowled the skies above evacuating dead and wounded.


Four US troops killed Sunday.

At 3pm Sunday Iraqi Resistance forces destroyed a Humvee with a rocket-propelled grenade in the al-'Alam area of Salah ad-Din Province. Four American troops were killed and two Resistance fighters died in the attack.

Four Danes killed, one wounded in ambush Monday night.


Four Danes, suspected of being intelligence officers were killed in an Iraqi Resistance ambush Monday at 10:30pm when two Resistance bombs exploded on the al-Ma'fal Road that leads to the port of al-Ma 'fal in the south of Iraq. When the two Land Cruisers belonging to the Danes ran over and detonated the mines, the four were killed and a fifth wounded.

At 3:15pm Sunday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds at the puppet so-called "Iraqi national guard" base in at-Taji north of Baghdad.

US pounds al-Fallujah during the night.


US forces intensively bombed al-Fallujah, dumping three container bombs full of anti-personnel cluster bombs on various neighborhoods of the city. Resistance fighters fought back causing the Americans to fall back on the use of rockets and grenades. In a dispatch posted at 4:37am local time (3:37am Mecca time) the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent wrote that the situation remained extremely tense.

Three US troops were killed when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded, destroying their Humbee at 1:30pm Tuesday. A number of other US troops were wounded and several Iraqis also received light injuries from the blast.

Badr Brigades blamed for car bombing that killed Iraqi civilians.

Iraqi sources quoted by Mafkarat al-Islam report that the Shi'i chauvinist Badr Brigades are likely responsible for the car bombing in al-A'zamiyah that killed eight Iraqi civilians and wounded more than 20 others. The car exploded in a crowded, predominantly Sunni area as a US patrol was passing. One US Humvee was damaged and one US soldier was killed in the blast at 9am Tuesday. The Badr Brigades were blamed for the blast, despite the slight damage it did to the Brigades’ American allies because the death toll of Iraqi civilians could tend to cast a shadow over the Resistance if Resistance forces were blamed for the bombing.

Three US Marines and two US intelligence officers were killed when two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded under a US patrol at about 4pm Tuesday in al-Latifiyah, followed by a Resistance attack with RPG7 rockets, destroying a Humvee and a Toyota Land Cruiser

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a puppet police station in al-Basrah, killing four puppet policemen, one a first lieutenant, at 5:10. The Resistance carried out their attack on the al-'Ashshar puppet police station using 82mm mortar rounds, according to a report posted at 6:07am Mecca time (7:07am local time) Tuesday morning.

Al-Fallujah.


US aircraft pound al-Fallujah as American forces converge on the city.


US aircraft pounded al-Azraqiyah and the industrial zone of al-Fallujah after Resistance forces fired rockets and missiles at moving US columns outside the city. Movmement of civilian cars on the highway is almost non-existent as they are clogged with US military vehicles heading towards the agricultural zone northeast of al-Fallujah and towards the al-Habbaniyah area to the west of the defiant city.


US pulls forces back after failed attack on al-Fallujah.

As has happened periodically, US forces pulled back on Wednesday morning from the environs of al-Fallujah. The withdrawal is linked with the apparent failure of American aggressor troops to break into the city due to intense fire from the Iraqi Resistance.


US bombards al-Fallujah early Wednesday.

The industrial zone of al-Fallujah in the south of the city was hit by a powerful US bombardment after midnight in the early hours of Wednesday. US aircraft and tank cannon joined to produce the barrage that continued uninterrupted until the local Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent submitted his report posted at 2am local time (1am Mecca time). As of 12:45 four wounded persons had been taken to al-Fallujah General Hospital.


Baghdad.


Badr Brigade gunmen killed.


Iraqi Resistance forces fired Kalashnikov assault rifles and hurled hand grenades at members of the collaborationist Badr Brigades Wednesday morning in az-Za'faraniyah, killing three of the gunmen.


Puppet "oil ministry" official assassinated.

An official in the Iraqi puppet police admitted that Resistance fighters had killed Husayn 'Ali, a General Manager puppet state-run Petroleum Products Distribution Company, a subdivision of the o-called "ministry of petroleum" in Baghdad. The fighters killed the puppet official as he was leaving his house in al-Qadisiyah district of southern Baghdad on his way to work.

Three US troops killed and one other killed in Wednesday attack in ar-Ridwaniyah.

One US truck destroyed and two US troops killed in Resistance attack in al-'Adl Wednesday morning.

At 10am Wednesday Resistance forces captured one US soldier and killed two others in an attack on a US patrol in al-Mushahadah, destroying a Humvee.

At 11am Wednesday, Resistance forces in Salman Bak east of Baghdad blew up a US Humvee killing three US soldiers.

Resistance forces on Wednesday morning fired four Katyusha rockets into the British headquarters in al-Mahmudiyah south of Baghdad, sending smoke rising into the air.

Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at US troops on Airport Road near al-'Amiriyah in Baghdad, destroying a Humvee and a GMC vehicle belonging to US intelligence at about 12:15pm. Four US personnel were killed, one of them believed to be an officer aboard the GMC.

Iraqi Resistance forces blew up a bomb under a US patrol in the Abu Ghurayb area at 8:15 Wednesday, disabling a Bradley armored vehicle and wounding two US troops.

Iraqi Resistance fighters disabled a US Bradley armored vehicle in the al-Jadariyah area of Baghdad when they detonated a bomb at 12:30 on Wednesday, wounding two US troops.

Resistance fighters detonated a bomb under a US patrol in al-Latifiyah at 8:30am Wednesday, destroying an armored vehicle and killing three US troops and wounding three others.

Resistance fighters killed two gunmen belonging to the collaborationist Badr Brigades in an attack on Abu Tayyarah street in ad-Durah at 8am Wednesday in the ad-Durah southern suburbs of Baghdad. The Resistance opened fire with Kalashnikov assault rifles on a 1991 Opel car being driven by the pro-American gunmen.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in ad-Duwaylibah at 9am Wednesday destroying a Humvee and killing four US Marines and wounding three others. A Lebanese collaborator translator was also wounded seriously.

At 1pm Wednesday an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in al-Latifiyah, killing four US troops and destroying a Humvee.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked and destroyed an Iraqi puppet intelligence officers in a white Toyota Land Cruiser on Hayfa Street with Kalashnikov assault rifles and hand grenades. Another car was also destroyed in the attack. Six Iraqi puppet intelligence officers were killed in the attack and two others were injured.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at 2pm Wednesday on the old street in Abu Ghurayb, destroying a US armored vehicle and killing two US Marines and wounding two others seriously.

At 3pm Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rockets at a US truck being driven by an Asian, destroying the truck.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in the al-A'zamiyah area of Baghdad at about 7 o’clock Wednesday disabling a Bradley armored vehicle and killing the US machine gunner aboard the vehicle. Another American soldier aboard the Bradley was wounded.

At 11am Wednesday Iraqi Resistance forces fired three RPG7 rockets at a US truck, destroying it and killing two US troops in al-Hurriyah ad-Dawli'i north of Baghdad.

At 6:15pm Wednesday Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rockets at a US patrol on Airport Road near al-Jihad neighborhood, disabling one Humvee and wounding an American soldier.

At 6am Resistance fighters attacked the US as-Suqur base south of Baghdad with six 82mm mortar rounds.

Resistance fighters attacked the US camp set up in the southern palace of Saddam Hussein in Tikrit with three Grad rockets at 9am Wednesday.

Al-Fallujah.


Resistance pounds US camps with rockets and missiles Thursday night.


Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US base in the agricultural area north of al-Fallujah and the Tariq US military camp northeast of al-Fallujah with a mixture of Grad, Katyusha, SPG9, and RPG7 rockets as well as mortar rounds and rocket-propelled grenades in an intense barrage sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky over the US facilities.

The al-Fallujah correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam wrote in a dispatch posted at 9:55pm local time Thursday night (8:55pm Mecca time) that US forces were at that moment searching for the sources of the incoming fire, but they originated from various places in al-Fallujah, including al-Azraqiyah, the industrial zone, ash-Shuhada’, al-Mu'allimin, al-Jaghifi, al-Karmah, and as-Saqlawiyah.


US mounts offensive on al-Fallujah.

US military columns set out from Baghdad on Thursday headed along the highway for al-Fallujah as events seemed to be shaping up for a renewed US offensive on the defiant city Thursday morning. Tanks, armored vehicles and rocket launchers were observed headed towards the city early Thursday. American military forces prevented Iraqi civilian cars from passing along the highway, out of fear that Resistance fighters might be among them, preparing attacks for the convoys of American aggressor troops.

After the announcement of the victory of the war criminal George Bush in his re-election bid in the United States, American invader aircraft dropped massive anti-personnel 13 container bombs (each holding cluster bombs) as they began their final preparations for the offensive against al-Fallujah.


After a diversionary retreat on Wednesday, US forces resume bombardment of al-Fallujah Thursday morning.

US forces began a bombardment of al-Fallujah at about 1:50am local time Thursday with attacks on the neighborhoods of al-Jaghifi in the north of the city, and al-Mu'allimin and al-'Askari in the east of the city. Rockets, machine guns, and artillery were being used by the American aggressors as the local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported at 1:20am Mecca time (2:20am local time) Thursday morning.

He wrote that Resistance forces were replying to the US fire, striking the sources of the American weapons.

Resistance forces in al-Azraqiyah in al-Fallujah shelled the US base in the agricultural area north of al-Fallujah with rockets and mortars, an attack that is believed to have occasioned the American attacks on al-Jaghifi and other neighborhoods.


US column caught in Resistance pincer attack between al-Karmah and Abu Ghurayb.

A US column was reported caught in an Iraqi Resistance pincer movement in the area around al-Karmah (north of al-Fallujah) and Abu Ghurayb, south of Baghdad. The US column set out at sunset on Wednesday to come to the aid of other American aggressor forces in al-Fallujah but fell into a Resistance trap in al-Karmah. The Americans tried to fall back but were attacked by the Resistance fighters coming from Abu Ghurayb.


Three British troops admitted killed north of Baghdad.

British government sources admitted on Thursday that three UK soldiers in the Black Watch Regiment were killed in an Iraqi Resistance attack north of Baghdad.

Two US troops killed, one wounded in al-Makasib.


Iraqi Resistance forces destroyed two US supply trucks in an attack on a US convoy on the highway that passes through the al-Makasib area south of Baghdad at about 3:15pm Thursday. Two US troops were killed and a third wounded in the ambush.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb destroyed a Humvee in Duwaylibiyah, west of Baghdad at sunset (5pm) Thursday, killing two US troops, one believed to be an officer.


Two American troops killed in ar-Ridwaniyah ambush.

Two US troops were killed in ar-Ridwaniyah southwest of Baghdad when Iraqi Resistance forces firing RPG7 rockets attacked an American convoy at about 2:15pm Thursday afternoon, destroying a military supply truck.


US owes blood debt to Iraqi tribe after American fire kills Shaykh.

US forces shelled an area of Abu Ghurayb on Thursday, killing a tribal chief. The local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Shaykh of the az-Zaqarit was killed in the American attack that took place at about 2pm Thursday. The correspondent reported that the tribe had pledged to take revenge for the killing of their chief by the American invaders.


Three US troops killed in Resistance ambush.

At 2:45pm Thursday Iraqi Resistance forces firing rocket-propelled grenades and C5K rockets attacked a joint US-Iraqi puppet "national guard" patrol in the ash-Sha'b area of Baghdad. A Nissan pickup truck belonging to the Iraqi puppet troops and a US Humvee were destroyed in the attack and three US soldiers and six Iraqi puppet troops were killed. Two puppet soldiers were seriously wounded.


Four puppet troops killed, five wounded in al-Mahmudiyah ambush.

At 1:30pm an Iraqi Resistance bomb in al-Mahmudiyah exploded under a patrol of the puppet so-called "Iraqi national guard," and then Resistance forces attacked with light arms, killing four puppet troops and wounding five others.


Four US troops killed in Hur al-Basha.

At 4pm Thursday afternoon a heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in Hur al-Basha near at-Taji north of Baghdad, destroying a car and killing four US troops.


Seven US troops, one Resistance fighter killed in afternoon ambush.

Seven US troops were killed in Hur Rajab in ad-Durah in the southern suburbs of Baghdad when several Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded at about 4pm under a US patrol. Resistance fighters then opened fire with RPG7 rockets, destroying a Humvee and a small armored vehicle. One Resistance fighter was killed in the attack.


Car bomb in 'Urayj kills two aggressor intelligence officers.

Iraqi Resistance forces detonated a bomb as US military vehicle was passing through the 'Urayj area near ad-Durah in the southern suburbs of Baghdad, totally destroying the vehicle and killing the two persons aboard - both of whom were suspected of being either US intelligence officers or officers in the Zionist Mossad.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked US troops with a car bomb in at-Taji Thursday at midday, destroying a Bradley armored vehicle and a Humvee, according to the local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam. Eight US troops were killed in the attack.

Two US troops were killed and two others wounded at about 9am Thursday when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the Salman Bak area southeast of Baghdad, destroying a Humvee.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US column as it was proceeding along Airport Road in the al-Bayya' area south of Baghdad Thursday morning, destroying one Bradley armored vehicle and killing two US troops and wounding two others.


Three Americans killed, one wounded in ambush in al-Mahmudiyah.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked and destroyed a GMC command car in al-Mahmudiyah. The attack began with the detonation of a bomb and then Resistance fighters opened fire with rocket-propelled grenades at the vehicle at 10:45am Thursday, killing three US troops and wounding one other.

Three US troops were killed when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at about 1pm Thursday, destroying a Humvee in the ash-Shurtah al-Khamisah neighborhood in central Baghdad.


Three US troops killed in Abu Ghurayb ambush.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in Abu Ghurayb, destroying a Bradley armored vehicle at about 10:15am, killing three US troops and wounding two others seriously.


Two US troops killed in al-'Amiriyah.

Two US troops were killed at about 11am when Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rockets, destroying a US military truck on the highway in the al-'Amiriyah area of Baghdad.


One US soldier killed in Baghdad ambush.

At about 5:45pm Thursday, Iraqi Resistance forces destroyed a US Humvee in the al-I'lam neighborhood of Baghdad, killing one US soldier and wounding two others.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired RPG7 rockets as they attacked US troops at about 1:30pm destroying a US military truck loaded with provisions and equipment for the occupation troops. One American soldier was killed in the attack.

At 2:15pm Thursday an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in ad-Duywalibah southwest of Baghdad, destroying a Humvee and killing two US Marines and wounding two more.


Three US troops killed in morning ambush in al-Mushahadah.

Iraqi Resistance forces firing RPG7 rockets attacked a civilian truck convoy bringing supplies to the US occupation forces in al-Mushahadah north of at-Taji at 8:45am Thursday. Two trucks were destroyed and three US troops were killed and one other wounded in the attack.


Five American troops killed in ad-Durah.

A heavy Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol at noon Thursday on a dirt road in the 'Arab Jabbur area of ad-Durah in the southern suburbs of Baghdad. Resistance fighters then attacked with RPG7 rockets. The attack destroyed one Bradley armored vehicle and killed five US troops.


US soldier killed in Abu Ghurayb.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired rocket-propelled grenades at a US supply truck, killing the US soldier who was driving it in Abu Ghurayb on Thursday afternoon.


Four American soldiers die in bombing in Salman Bak.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a US patrol in Salman Bak southeast of Baghdad, destroying a Humvee and killing four US troops.


Collaborationist official killed.

An official of the Shi'i chauvinist Da'wah Party was killed in the Dira' area of the al-Mansur neighborhood of Baghdad when Resistance forces fired Kalashnikov assault rifles at a car that the collaborator was driving at 1pm Thursday afternoon.


Three Badr Brigade collaborators killed.

One official and two members of the collaborationist Badr Brigades were killed in an Iraqi Resistance attack in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah when Resistance fighters fired Kalashnikov assault rifles at the Land Cruiser in which the collaborator gunman was riding at about 9am Thursday in the al-Mikanik neighborhood of ad-Durah.


Two American soldiers killed in Abu Ghurayb Thursday morning.

At least two US troops were killed and a provisions truck destroyed in an Iraqi Resistance attack in Abu Ghurayb at 8:15am Thursday. Resistance fighters fired RPG7 rockets at an American column on the highway in Abu Ghurayb, destroying the truck and killing the troops.


Four US troops killed in attack.

Four US troops were killed at 7am Thursday when a heavy Resistance bomb exploded in the ar-Rashid area south of Baghdad near ar-Ridwaniyah as a US patrol was passing. A Bradley armored vehicle was destroyed in the blast.


Six Americans, seven Iraqi translator collaborators killed in martyrdom car bombing.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter blew himself up in a car bomb near a US checkpoint on Airport road near the Equestrian Club in Baghdad at about 11:30am, killing six US troops and wounding six others. Seven Iraqi collaborator translators were also killed in the bombing, and two Humvees and a GMC belonging to US intelligence were destroyed.


One soldier killed in Resistance attack in al-Hurriyah early Thursday.

Iraqi Resistance forces on Thursday morning attacked a US truck on the highway passing through the al-Hurriyah area of Baghdad, firing RPG7 rockets at the vehicle laden with provisions for US occupation troops at 7:30am. The attack left the truck totally destroyed and killed one soldier and wounded a second slightly.


Al-Latifiyah.


Three US troops killed in al-Latifiyah.


Three US troops were killed and two others wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded at about 8:30am as a US patrol was passing through al-Latifiyah, destroying a Humvee.


Al-Hillah.


Nine US troops killed in car bombing in al-Iskandariyah.


Nine US troops were killed and three others wounded when an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded near their column in the city of al-Iskandariyah south of Baghdad between the cities of al-Hillah and al-Mahmudiyah at 1:30pm Thursday. The car drove into the US column that was stopped in al-Iskandariyah, destroying a Humvee and damaging a Bradley armored vehicle. Three local citizens were killed in the attack as well as they happened to be driving their Land Cruiser through the area at the time. Ten other local citizens were wounded.


An-Nasiriyah.


Five US troops killed in Resistance attack in an-Nasiriyah.


Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded Thursday afternoon between Safwan and an-Nasiriyah as a US patrol was passing through the area, disabling one Humvee and destroying a second. Five US troops were killed and four others injured in the attack.


Al-Basrah.


Badr Brigades commander killed in al-Basrah.


At about 10:30pm Thursday, Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked and killed a commander of the Badr Brigades collaborationist militia as he was leaving his home in al-Hayyaniyah near al-Basrah, according to the local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam.


Bombardments on Thursday.

Resistance forces at 5am Thursday fired three Katyusha rockets at the US occupation headquarters in the Republican Palace compound in Baghdad - known to the Amercian invader forces as the "green zone."

At 6:30am the "green zone" resounded with the explosions of two Resistance Grad rockets.

At 2:30pm Thursday Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into the al-Bakr camp in Balad that houses US occupation troops and puppet "rapid deployment troops" of the American-installed regime.

At 3pm Iraqi Resistance forces struck Saddam International Airport with a Tariq rocket.

At about 3:30pm Thursday, Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet "national guard" camp in at-Taji.

At 4pm Iraqi Resistance forces fired five C5K rockets at the US Tariq camp in the Abu Ghurayb area south of Baghdad. The Americans are using the Tariq camp as a staging area for their offensive on al-Fallujah.

At 5pm Thursday Iraqi Resistance forces fired ten 82mm mortar rounds into the US as-Suqur base south of Baghdad.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Katyusha rockets into the US as-Suqur base south of Baghdad at about 5:30pm.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into the so-called "green zone" in Baghdad Thursday evening.

At 6pm Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the US airbase in al-Muthanna in Baghdad.

At 6:30pm Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US forces occupying the former Iraqi chief of staff headquarters in al-'Amiriyah with six 120mm mortar rounds.

At 6:45pm Iraqi Resistance forces struck the US forces in the former Meat company quarters in 'Uri south of Baghdad with seven 82mm mortar rounds.

At 7:35pm Thursday night, Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven 82mm mortar rounds into the US al-Muthanna airbase in Baghdad.

At 9:40pm Thursday night, Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 120mm mortar rounds into the US base in Baghdad where the Iraqi chief of staff formerly had offices.
