To my brother and Militant Dr. Fouad el Hage

Dearest brother Fouad:

Sincere greetings, May peace, the blessings and the grace of the Lord be upon you.

I am writing you this letter with immense suffering in my heart. I am really sorry but I don't know what happened to the Arab humanity and conscience.

I have not come across a man like you with the honorable positions you espouse alongside the few who didn't forget their Arab nation. For those who use this as a way to make millions, we say, 'we have no God but the One God'. History will be merciless with the deserters, and I beg you to get in touch with all of those who used to meet with us in conferences. Where are they?

We, we never fled, and we never changed our color after the Occupation. We are deep in the heart of Iraq and we write to you because we know that the truth is on our side; but why are those who live overseas so cowardly after having profited and stuffed their fat bellies ’til they touch their chins?

Yes I am perfectly aware of the terrible consequences I might suffer because of what I am writing to you, may the lord help me, but here is the message I want you to know whatever happens! You know that we are people who are not scared to tell the truth even in front of those who don't want to listen, and happen what may be!

Yesterday, I was with some brothers of the Secretariat (...) Some elders and chiefs of the tribes of Fallujah with their eyes in tears, asked me to convey you the following message although everybody knows that every sent email is subject to control and censure, but I can't shut up, because the one who refrains from saying the truth is a dumb devil.

I know that you are aware of our situation in Iraq, but here even the pen becomes for some a terrorist practice, yet I have promised the elders of Fallujah to convey you this message from a Sheikh (...) member of Fallujah Sheikhs Council. I will keep the text written by the Sheikh's (...) own hand with me.

"There is a genocide being undertaken in Fallujah, for fallacious pretexts. Thousands of families from this city have been chased away from their homes. Life there has come to a standstill since months, preventing any commercial or economic activity. The Zarqawi pretext has no foundations. The people of Fallujah are collectively punished because they don't accept and will never accept the occupation.

We appeal to the United Nations Organization, to the Security Council and to all Humanitarian Organizations to do whatever possible in urgency, to stop the massacre of this City and of its inhabitants who are innocent civilians defending their cities and homes. Let the entire world know that Iraqis don't need to import somebody to guide them. We are the people of the 1920 revolution."

May the Lord protect me while conveying to you this painful message, but my conscience will not be tranquil unless I have transmitted to you this testimony, knowing your loyalty, your faithfulness and your devotion to your nation.

As far as I am concerned, I have had enough! What is remaining of my life doesn't represent to me a great worry, whatever happens!

If you need people from outside who would like to write, here is your brother Nasser whom you know. I have always been, and for the rest of life shall remain, faithful to our heroic Arab Nation.

Pray for us! Pray for us! Get in touch with all the humanitarian organizations; we are enduring a real disaster.

The worst of all is when someone writes about the events, he is accused of being "Saddam follower" and you know what this accusation implies!

We ask the Lord Almighty to help this nation and we pray to HIM for the Arab conscience to wake up!
