Seven Iraqis killed in bus shootout in Iraq's Ramadi

BAGHDAD, Nov. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Seven people were killed in Ramadi on Saturday when US troops opened fire on a civilian bus, witnesses said Sunday.
The shootout erupted as the bus was traveling near the city's governorate building in central al-Andalous district, they said.
The US military had no immediate comment on the incident.
Ramadi, some 100 km west of Baghdad, was another insurgent bastion like the flashpoint city of Fallujah in the Anbar province.
It remained on the top list of restive cities to be retaken from insurgents' hand to pave the way for the national elections slated for January. Enditem
