High-explosive bomb targets US column in
al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time
Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a
high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by a US patrol in the
ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of
Baghdad at 7am local time Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported that the bomb damaged a Humvee in the column, inflicting a
number of casualties among those aboard.
After the explosion, the American troops opened
fire intensively and indiscriminately and then deployed in an unusual
way in the city, particularly on public streets, in the industrial zone
near the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood. Because of the intense activity by
US occupation troops, no precise information on the nature or extent of
US casualties was available.

Resistance fighters ambush US patrol in ar-Ramadi

In a dispatch posted at 10am Makkah time Wednesday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance
fighters ambushed a US military patrol on the main road near the
az-Zuyut building in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of
Baghdad.

al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance
fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked a
US patrol on ’17 Tammuz’ Street near the az-Zuyut area, completely
destroying a Humvee and damaging an American Bradley armored vehicle.
The attack sparked a fierce firefight and US forces
rushed to encircle the area making it impossible for the correspondent
to ascertain the nature and extent of casualties.

Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi
Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the southwestern Baghdad
district of ar-Ridwaniyah.

reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ridwaniyah as saying that a bomb that had
been planted by the side of the road to the al-Jihad neighborhood went
off by the US patrol at dawn on Wednesday, destroying a Humvee and
killing or wounding the five US troops who were aboard it.

mysterious bombs exploded one after the other by workmen gathered in
at-Tayran Sqaure in the middle of Baghdad.

reported shopkeepers on at-Tayran Square who witnessed the explosions as
saying that three bombs that had been planted near to each other blew up
in succession in the area where Shi'i workers gather to wait for day
labor opportunities.
The witnesses said that the blasts killed four
workers and wounded 14 more, some of them severely.

Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi'i
sectarian gunmen attacked a Sunni mosque in the al-Washshash area of
western Baghdad.

reported eyewitnesses in al-Washshash as saying that the pro-American
Shi ' sectarian gunment fired light arms and mortars at the al-Barakah
mosque. Local people rallied and at the time of reporting had equipped
themselves with what light arms they had in an effort to foil the
sectarian attack on their area.
Resistance bomb rips supply truck apart in
southern Baghdad.

Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi
Resistance bomb exploded by a US military convoy near the ad-Dayirah
area in southern Baghdad, setting one supply truck on fire and killing
its driver.

reported local residents in ad-Dayirah as saying that the bomb went off
by a convoy of trucks loaded with military materiel for American bases.
He blast set one of the trucks on fire killing the driver instantly.
Resistance mortars shell puppet "Shock Troop"
headquarters in ad-Durah.

Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi
Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds at the headquarters of
the puppet "Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)" in the
southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.

reported eyewitnesses in ad-Durah as saying that the mortar shells
scored direct hits on the headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising
into the sky.

Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance
bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road south of the
Balad fuel station, about 85km north of Baghdad

reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by a patrol
of several American Humvees and Bradley armored vehicles, disabling one
Humvee and wounding two US troops.

Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road south
of Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a source in the Tikrit puppet police as saying that the bomb
went off by a US patrol on the road to ad-Dawr, south of Tirkit. The
blast disabled a Humvee, severely wounding four Americans.

Resistance fighters intercept to attempted
assaults by puppet regime forces.

Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi
Resistance fighters beat off two attacks mounted by puppet "Iraqi
National Guards" backed by members of pro-American Shi'i sectarian
militias in the al-Mada’in area, about 25km southeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that Resistance fighters
armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets intercepted a force
of puppet "National Guards" and sectarian militiamen who were intent on
carrying out raids on Sunni areas of al-Mada’in. The Resistance
fighters destroyed three puppet "National Guard" vehicles, killing or
wounding 12 of the attackers. The rest of the puppet "Guards" and
sectarian gunmen then fled.
Meanwhile, Resistance fighters armed with light and
medium weapons ambushed a patrol of the puppet forces north of
al-Mada’in, destroying one patrol vehicle and disabling a second. Three
puppet troops were killed and four more of them wounded.

Resistance fighters ambush car carrying
pro-American Badr Brigade gunmen, killing four.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Wednesday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance
fighters attacked a car carrying pro-American Shi ' sectarian militiamen
on the road from al-Yusufiyah to Karbala’.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat
al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that
Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked a car carrying six
members of the pro-American Badr Brigade militia on the road to
Karbala’. The source reported that the attack left four of the Badr
Brigade gunmen dead and two of them injured.
The narly 30,000-man Badr Brigade, the armed wing
of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI),
joined US forces for the invasion of Iraq in the spring of 2003 and
since then have served as the backbone of puppet security forces working
for the occupation.

Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road to
presidential palaces that the US occupation troops and their Iraqi
puppet army allies jointly use as a local headquarters in the northern
Iraqi city of al-Mawsil.

a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road to the former
presidential palaces went off by the column, disabling one Bradley
