Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance bombards US and Iraqi puppet troop concentrations late Monday morning.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired five mortar rounds into a
concentration of US troops in the area of Barwanah on the eastern
outskirts of al-Hadithah at 11:30am local time Monday morning.
Residents of Barwanah, east of al-Hadithah told Mafkarat al-Islam about
that attack.
Meanwhile Iraqi Resistance fighters also bombarded a concentration
of US and Iraqi puppet troops at the eastern entrance to al-Hadithah,
striking them with seven mortar rounds launched from multiple
directions. Fire was observed burning in an American military vehicle
after that attack.
US warplanes bomb peaceful home, killing four civilians at dawn on Monday.
US warplanes bombed the Barwanah area east of the city of al-Hadithah in western Iraq at about 6am local time Monday morning.
The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
residents of Barwanah who witnessed the raids as saying that the US
aircraft bombed one peaceful home north of Barwanah for no apparent
reason, completely destroying the house and killing four civilians and
wounding three more. The witnesses confirmed that there were two
children and a woman among the dead.
Resistance ambushes US forces in southern al-Hadithah shortly after midnight Monday morning.
Three wrecked US military vehicles that had been loaded aboard huge
American military transport trucks were observed on the main road
between al-Hadithah and Hit at dawn Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Hadithah reported that
the Iraqi Resistance had ambushed US forces in the al-'Askari
neighborhood in the south of the city at 1am local time just after
midnight on Monday morning. The attack sparked a battle that raged
about one hour, but since the curfew was in force, no one could go out
to determine the extent or nature of casualties or other details of the
engagement. Snipers were posted by the US occupation forces atop roofs
in the city, enforcing the curfew.
The correspondent reported that after dawn, however, the three
wrecked vehicles – three various types of Humvee – gave evidence of the
intensity of the nighttime combat.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance car bomber attacks US patrol in al-Fallujah Monday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:21pm Mecca time Tuesday night, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an
explosives-laden car into a US patrol in the city of al-Fallujah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported that a
car bomb blew up on the main al-Fallujah Street that leads out of the
city. The correspondent reported that at the time of writing, fire was
burning in an American vehicle blasted in the attack. The correspondent
had no information regarding the nature or extent of casualties in the
carbombing.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance bombards US camp in al-Habbaniyah Monday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:05pm Mecca time Monday night, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that a short time earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had
fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a US military camp in
al-Habbaniyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported that all
the mortar shells blasted into the American camp, sending columns of
black smoke rising into the sky over the southern part of the base. The
American occupation forces made no disclosure regarding the nature or
extent of US casualties.
Rawah.
Resistance bomb blasts US patrol south of Rawah early Monday afternoon.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road
from Rawah to 'Anah in western Iraq at 2pm local time Monday afternoon.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of Rawah who
witnessed the attack as saying that an explosives-packed car that was
parked by the side of the road to 'Anah, four kilometers south of Rawah
blew up as a US column drove past along the road.
The explosion disabled one American Zeal troop transport, killing
or wounding all aboard. US troops responded to the bombing by opening
fire indiscriminately around the area after the attack.
Ar-Ramadi.
US forces withdraw from four camps, five checkpoints in ar-Ramadi.
In a bulletin posted at 11:25am Mecca time Monday morning, the
Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of
Baghdad, reported that US forces were at the time of writing
withdrawing from four military camps that they had set up two months
earlier in the area of ar-Ramadi and the west of there.
US forces had also withdrawn from five fixed checkpoints that they
had set up in the areas of as-Sufiyah, al-Bu Fahd, az-Zuyut, al-Mal'ab,
and at-Ta’mim in ar-Ramadi in an unexpected move, given the fact that
the security situation in the city for the US occupation and its puppet
forces is still insecure in the area.
The correspondent indicated that the US forces withdrew from those
various positions to the west of ar-Ramadi, in the direction of the
American al-Warrar Marine base. The Iraqi Resistance mounted no attacks
on the retreating Americans due to the heavy unbrella of air cover that
accompanied the US withdrawal.
Hit.
Resistance bomb blasts US column north of Hit early Monday morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of US vehicles on the
highway near the 30 Kilometer area north of Hit in western Iraq at 7am
local time Monday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported motorists
who were passing through the area at the time of the attack as saying
that a bomb that had been planted under rubbish by the side of the road
blew up as an American patrol drove past. The explosion disabled one US
vehicle. American forces quickly surrounded the area making it
impossible for the correspondent to obtain information on the nature or
extent of US casualties.
Baghdad.
Three explosions rock area near Palestine Hotel in downtown Baghdad Monday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 6:15pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported from Baghdad that a short time earlier, three massive
vehicle explosions had rocked al-Firdaws Square near the Palestine
Hotel in the center of the occupied Iraqi capital. The hotel is home to
some journalists and many foreigners in the city.
The explosions rocked the area shortly before sunset (5:18pm local time) which marked the end of the day’s fast.
The American Associated Press (AP) reported that one of the car
bombs blew up near a puppet police position on the northeast side of
al-Firdaws Square. He US military claimed that no American troops were
killed in the attack but said that 10 Iraqis were killed in the attack.
Iraqi puppet authorities were quoted as saying that at least 40 were
wounded in the attack.
The BBC, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that the sound
of gunfire followed the explosive blasts. Al-Jazeera satellite TV
reported another journalist as telling Agence France Presse (AFP) that
shooting rang out explosions.
Al-Jazeera reported preliminary reports as saying that at least 17
persons had been killed and numerous others wounded, including at least
three foreign journalists.
Al-Jazeera quoted Jasim 'Abid of the Iraqi puppet security services
as saying that the first car bomb went off near the 14 Ramadan Mosque,
the second near the Palestine Hotel and the third near the puppet
"Iraqi Agriculture Ministry" building.
Journalist Walid as-Samarra’i told al-Jazeera by telephone that the
explosion was "very powerful" particularly since it occurred in such a
sensitive and high-security part of the city, very near to the
Republican Palace area – known to the Americans as the "green zone"
where the headquarters of their occupation regime is located.
The AP reported that the bombings inflicted "heavy damage" to the
south side of the Palestine Hotel, forcing staff of numerous western
news agencies that cooperate with the American occupation to take cover
in the hallways.
In a dispatch posted at 6:50pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that the explosions at the Palestine Meridien Hotel
that had taken place about an hour earlier had killed Steve Burton,
reportedly the director of one of the largest US security companies
working in occupied Iraq, according to a source in the hotel’s
security. Burton’s firm reportedly provides bodyguards to high-ranking
diplomats and American profiteer businessmen in occupied Iraq.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported the security source in
the hotel as saying that a number of other foreigners were also killed
or injured in the bombings.
Resistance car bomb blasts Iraqi puppet police patrol in eastern Baghdad at noon.
An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police
patrol on the main road in the ash-Sha'b area in eastern Baghdad at
about 12 noon local time Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of ash-Sha'b
as saying that an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the
side of th road blew up as a patrol of several pickups belonging to the
Iraqi puppet police drove past.
The explosion set one of the vehicles ablaze, killing three puppet
policemen and wounding three more of them. Two civilians who happened
to be in the area were also killed in the blast, the witnesses said.
Resistance fighters lob hand grenades at puppet police patrol south of Baghdad Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had thrown hand
grenades at a passing Iraqi puppet police patrol on a farm road in the
as-Sandij village in the middle of the Jurf as-Sakhr area south of
Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents
of the village who witnessed the attack as saying that a number of
Resistance fighters threw hand grenades at the puppet police patrol
made up of a number of pickup trucks. The attack set fire to two puppet
police pickups, killing or wounding five puppet policemen. The
Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area.
The witnesses said that one civilian was killed when Iraqi puppet
police responded to the attack by opening fire around the area.
Iraqi Humanitarian organization appeals for international help
to end American arrests of Iraqi women, children, and sectarian arrests
and murders by pro-US militias of Sunnis.
The Iraqi humanitarian organization 'Izz al-'Iraq issued an appeal
on Sunday for international intervention to help stop US arrests of
Iraqi women and children.
The appeal noted that "once again US forces are carrying out arrest
campaigns against our Iraqi sisters and children as well. For a second
time in this holy monthof Ramadanthey
arrested Sarah Taha Khalaf al-Jumayli the daughter of attourney Taha
Khalaf al-Jumayli whom the Americans are holding in Abu Ghurayb prison
camp. They arrested Sarah al-Jumayli the first time on charges that she
was a daughter of Abu Mus'ab az-Zarqawi. On that occasion she was
released the next day. The Americans came back and arrested her a
second time on Wednesday night, 19 October, claiming that she was
harboring armed men in her father’s house."
'Izz al-'Iraq appealed to the conscience of he world to stop the
American wave of arrests of Iraqi women and children, other recent
victims of which have been Raghd Layth Muhammad, an employee of the
ar-Rafiayn Bank, arrested in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on
8 October 2005; and a young girl from the al-Hudaba’-Mosul area as well
as boys ranging in age from 10 to 15 who were arrested by US forces
backed up by pro-American militias.
'Izz al-'Iraq appealed to al humanitarian organizations to secure
the release of all Iraqi prisoners, in particular the women and
children, from American and pro-American militia jails. The
organization called on the United Nations, Amnesty International, the
Red Cros, and other humanitarian groups to intervene to put a halt to
such criminal practices.
In a separate appeal also published Sunday, 'Izz al-'Iraq called
for international help to stop sectarian arrests and killings of Sunnis
in the southern city of an-Nasiriyah, where 70 Sunnis were recently
arrested and 17 others found tortured to death.

Resistance fighters attack US fuel convoy south of Samarra’.
Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light and medium weapons
attacked a convoy of tank trucks loaded with fuel for US bases on the
road to Samarra’ north of Baghdad at about 7am local time Monday
morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported a source
in the puppet police in ad-Dulu'iyah, south of Samarra’, who asked not
to be identified as saying that the Resistance attacked the 11-vehicle
convoy, setting fire to two trucks and wounding three drivers.
At-Tarimiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts US armored column south of at-Tarimiyah early Monday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored column on the
ar-Rashiyah road south of at-Tarimiyah at 7:30am local time Monday
morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of
at-Tarimiyah who witnessed the blast as saying that a bomb that had
been planted by the side of the road to the northern Baghdad suburb of
ar-Rashidiyah blew up as the column of six US armored vehicles and two
Humvees was driving past.
The blast disabled one of he armored vehicles, wounding two US soldiers.
Diyala Province.
Buhriz.
US soldier reported killed in roadside Resistance bombing.
In a dispatch posted at 4:45pm Mecca time Monday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a joint US-Iraqi puppet army column at the northern approaches to
the Buhriz area, northeast of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the Iraqi
puppat army a saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of
the road north to Ba'qubah blew up as the column passed by.
The blast set fire to one US Humvee, killing an American soldier
and wounding a second. One Iraqi puppet soldier was also slightly
injured.
Babil Province.
Al-Hillah.
Iraqi Resistance forces assassinate Badr Brigade commander in al-Hillah.
Iraqi Resistance fighters assassinated Muhsin 'Abd al-A’immah, the
commander of the Shi'i sectarian Badr Brigades in the city of al-Hillah
south of Baghdad in an attack on his motorcade in the east of the city
on Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported a source
in the local puppet police – which had surrounded the area in which the
attack took place – said that Resistance fighters had attacked the
motorcade with an anti-tank rocket, killing 'Abd al-A’immah and three
of his Badr Brigade companions. They were driving a white Nissan Patrol
vehicle, the source said.
Later, in a dispatch posted at 9:15pm Mecca time Monday night,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Shi ' sectarian, pro-occupation
Badr Brigades had admitted over their radio that Muhsin 'Abd
al-A’immah, the local commander of the Brigades in al-Hillah had been
killed along with three of his companions.
Al-Yusufiyah.
US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing at dawn Monday.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Kartan
area north of the city of al-Yusufiyah at 6am local time Monday
morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents
of the village of al-Kartan as saying that a bomb that had been planted
by the side of a farm road north of the village blew up as the US
patrol was passing by. The explosion set one of the US vehicles on
fire, killing one American soldier and wounding two more.
After the attack US forces surrounded al-Kartan village for nearly two hours.

Al-Hawijah.
Resistance bomb blasts American armored column south of al-Hawijah midday Monday.
An Iraqi Resistance land mine blew up by a US military column on
the road to al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq at about
1pm local time Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses resident
in al-Hawijah as saying that a land mine that had been planted in the
middle of an unpaved farm road south of al-Hawijah blew up under a
column of several American tanks and three Humvees, disabling one tank
and wounding four US troops, one of them seriously.
