bombing in southeastern al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Sunday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance
car bomb had exploded by a US military column on as-Sadd Street in
southeastern al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat
al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an explosives-laden
car that had been parked on the side of the main road in the area, known
as as-Sadd Street, blew up as a US column was passing by. The explosion
completely destroyed one Humvee, killing three US troops and seriously
wounding a fourth.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance bombards US military camp set up in
Agricultural College in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Mecca time Sunday,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired
three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in the
eastern part of ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported local witnesses as saying that the US military headquarters set
up in the Agricultural College in eastern ar-Ramadi took direct hits
from three heavy mortar shells. The barrage set off sirens in the camp
and sent plumes of smoke rising over the US-occupied facility.
Abu Ghurayb.
US troops arrest six young women from Abu Ghurayb
Saturday night.
US occupation forces arrested six Iraqi Sunni women
in the town of Abu Ghurayb on Saturday night. The Abu Ghurayb
correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Sunday that Layla
Zaydan Jasim, Amal 'Ali Hmad, 'Amshah 'Arrak, Yusra Husayn, Karima
Husayn, and Maryam Bakhit az-Zawbi'i had been arrested and taken off to
a US base.
Relatives of the women told Mafkarat al-Islam
that the women were all under 40 years of age. The correspondent
reported the relatives as saying that Maryam Bakhit az-Zawbi'i is only
13 years old.
Baghdad.
Resistance bombards US headquarters in al-Bu
'Ithah area.
In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Mecca time Sunday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces
had fired ten 82mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in
the al-Bu 'Ithah area to the south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported residents of al-Bu 'Ithah who witnessed the barrage as saying
that the 10 mortar rounds blasted directly into the US military base in
their area, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance fighters ambush, kill puppet officer
in western Baghdad’s al-Yarmuk.
In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Mecca time Sunday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance
fighters attacked an officer in the puppet "Iraqi National Guard" in the
western Baghdad area of al-Yarmuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported residents of al-Yarmuk who witnessed the attack as saying that
Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked the officer as he
was on his way to work. The witnesses reported that the officer was
killed in the attack and that the Resistance fighters then left the
scene without having suffered any casualties.
Resistance bomb on highway from Baghdad to Diyala
Province leaves US soldier reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Mecca time Sunday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded by a US military column on the highway linking Diyala
Province with Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that
had been planted by the sid of the road to Baghdad blew up as a US
column was driving past. The explosion disabled a Humvee, killing one
US soldier and wounding two more of them.
US, Iraqi puppet troops ransack headquarters of
Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, the top Sunni religious body in
Iraq before dawn Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Mecca time Sunday,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US and Iraqi puppet troops had
stormed into the general headquarters of the Association of Muslim
Scholars in the Umm al-Qura Mosque in the al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood in
western Baghdad late on Saturday night.
The Association noted in its announcement of the
attack that this was a new low reached by the occupation. Never before
had the Americans actually invaded the mosque and headquarters; in the
past they had only surrounded the building and held people inside.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported Shaykh Muhammad al-'Ani, a member of the Association – the
highest Sunni Muslim religious authority in Iraq – as saying that a
joint US-Iraqi puppet force raided the headquarters and ransacked the
place. The American raiders and their Iraqi supporters wrecked furniture
and arrested Shaykh Yunus, one of the members of the Association along
with five other staff members who work in administration and as guards.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that no reason
for the raid had been given.
In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American attack on
the headquarters of the Association of Muslim Scholars took place at
about 3am Saturday morning, local time. A witness told the Mafkarat
al-Islam correspondent that American Marines and Iraqi puppet
"National Guards" in large numbers stormed the headquarters in the Umm
al-Qura Mosque. They used explosives to break open the doors, ripped
apart copies of the Qur’an, and broke window glass. A number of troops
drew crosses on doors and walls of the mosque.

The troops raided the offices of the newspaper
al-Basa’ir which is run by the Association, and also the Umm al-Qura
broadcasting station as well as he offices for the website of the
Association. The troops wrecked the contents of the website and the
broadcasting other equipment.
The website of the Association, which was later
back on line reported that a total of six staffers were arrested in the
course of the raid. The attacking force consisted of 13 Humvees and
armored vehicles and had helicopter air support.
Witnesses reported that the Americans and their
Iraqi partners smashed cameras and computers owned by the Association.
The violated the sanctuary of Umm al-Qura Mosque as well, throwing
percussion bombs into the prayer hall, breaking the glass windows. The
invaders verbally assaulted and insulted the men and women who were in
the mosque at the time, and stole cell phones from the guards and
staffers.
Dr. Harith ad-Darri Secretary General of the
Association of Muslim Scholars told Mafkarat al-Islam that the
Americans also had arrested Shaykh Yunus Mahdi al-'Ukaydi who was in the
headquarters at the time of the American attack. Shaykh Yunus works for
the Association on issues of human rights in occupied Iraq.
The Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq was
formed shortly after the American occupation of the country, taking the
position of rejecting any participation in any political process imposed
on the country under the occupation.

In a dispatch posted at 7:45pm Mecca time Sunday
night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported medical sources in the city of
al-Hillah, south of Baghdad, as saying hat US troops on Sunday had
forcibly kidnapped and raped a nine-year-old girl, abducting her as she
came out of her school after classes.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a doctor in al-Hillah General Hospital who asked not to be
identified as saying that the little girl was found four hours after the
criminal attack, unconscious with blood all over her face and legs.
Witnesses said that the little girl Aminah (the
rest of her name was not published) was standing by the door of the Umm
al-Banin School just after class had let out waiting for her family to
pick her up and take her home. At that moment an American patrol passed
by the school and one of the soldiers kidnapped the little girl in full
view of all the people in the area. The American put her in his
military vehicle which was a part of the patrol.
Numerous witnesses reported that Aminah was later
found in the Maqali' al-Hasa area near al-Hillah – an area that is also
near one of the American bases.
The doctor in al-Hillah General Hospital who spoke
with Mafkarat al-Islam said that he had informed correspondents
for the al-'Arabiyah satellite TV network and the puppet regime’s
al-'Iraqiyah TV network about the crime, but they were uninterested in
the story, believing that running the story would get them in trouble
with the US occupation authorities and the American-installed puppet
regime.
Aminah’s family requested that the Mafkarat
al-Islam correspondent not publish the full name or photograph of
their daughter in hospital for moral reasons and Mafkarat al-Islam
complied with their wishes.
The correspondent noted that the Iraqi Organization
for Children had registered 71 cases of rape committed by US occupation
troops against Iraqi children under the age of 10 during the year 2005
alone.

evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
exploded by a column of Iraqi puppet "National Guards" in the ad-Dujayl
area on the road leading south to Baghdad.

al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had
been planted by the road to Baghdad blew up as a column of puppet
"National Guard" troops drove past. The explosion disabled one Jeep,
killing three puppet guards and wounding two more of them.

rural road south of ad-Dulu'iyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:35pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded on the road to 'Arab Jabbur, south of ad-Dulu'iyah, which
is located north of Baghdad.

al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been
planted by the side of the rural road to 'Arab Jabbur blew up as a US
military column was driving past. The explosion destroyed an American
Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bombards US al-Bakr base.
In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Mecca time Sunday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance
forces fired four medium-range Grad rockets into the US al-Bakr base
near Balad, about 100km north of Baghdad on Sunday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported residents of the town of Yathrib, which is near the base, as
saying that the base took direct hits from the four Grad missiles, which
set off explosions and sent smoke billowing into the sky from inside the
US-occupied compound.

Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Mecca time Sunday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded by a US military column in the an-Nu'ayriyah area northeast
of Samarra’.

reported residents of the city who witnessed the attack as saying that a
bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in an-Nu'ayriyah
blew up as a column of several US armored vehicles and Humvees was
driving by. The explosion disabled one Humvee, wounding three US troops

morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded on the main road in the Talul al-Baj area in the middle of
Tikrit.

had been planted by the side of the main road there blew up by a passing
US column. The blast disabled one Humvee, killing three US troops and

near Iranian border.
In a dispatch posted at 6:15pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded under an oil pipeline that feeds a US base in the Naft
Khanah area near the Iranian border northeast of Baghdad in Diyalah
Province.

al-Islam reported eye witnesses as saying that Iraqi Resistance
fighters blew up the pipeline with a bomb,
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet police patrol in
Shahraban.
In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Sunday
morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car
bomb had exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet police on the main road in
the Shahraban area (al-Miqdadiyah), some 85km northeast of Baghdad.

northeast of Bayji.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb
had exploded on the main road to the city of Bayji southwest of Kirkuk
in northern Iraq.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that
had been planted by the side of the road that runs southwest towards
Bayji blew up by a US military column as it drove past. The explosion
disabled one Bradley armored vehicle, killing two US troops and wounding
two more of them, the puppet police sources told Mafkarat al-Islam.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol
in az-Zuhur neighborhood of Mosul.
In a dispatch posted at 6:25pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces
on Sunday attacked a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in the az-Zuhur
neighborhood in the middle of Mosul in northern Iraq.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with
light and medium weapons ambushed the puppet police patrol, heavily
damaging the patrol vehicles and killing one puppet policeman and
wounding three more of them. After the attack, the Resistance fighters
withdrew from the scene.
Tall 'Afar.
US admits 12 American troops killed in Black Hawk
helicopter crash near Tall 'Afar Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at 6:45pm Mecca time Sunday
evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US occupation forces
in Iraq had admitted that 12 US troops had been killed in the crash of a
Black Hawk UH 60 helicopter east of Tall 'Afar in northern Iraq on
Saturday night.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported an American
military announcement as saying that the helicopter had a crew of four
and was carrying eight passengers when it crashed, killing all aboard.
Seven US troops reported killed when Resistance
blows up a house over them in Tall 'Afar.
In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Mecca time Sunday
afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance
fighters had mounted a well-planned ambush on a joint US-Iraqi puppet
army force in the Tall 'Afar area west of Mosul in northern Iraq.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
reported residents of the as-Saray area of Tall 'Afar who witnessed the
engagement as saying that Resistance fighters prepared for their attack
by booby trapping a house in the area with bombs and explosives. They
then blew it up when US and Iraqi puppet troops stormed into the house
to raid it looking for Resistance fighters. The explosion killed seven
American soldiers and four Iraqi puppet troops and wounded three US
soldiers and two Iraqi puppet military men, the correspondent reported.
