More then one hundred years ago, there was a "riot" in Helena, Arkansas. There were land owners who were cheating the sharecroppers who worked the land. When the sharecroppers could not get a fair accounting of the crops they "sold" to the landholders, they sought legal help. Helena, Ark. is located in the far north east corner of the state and the sharecroppers had to go all the way to Little Rock, in the center of the state, before they could find an attorney who would represent them.

The attorney, after hearing the details of how the farmers were being mistreated, sent his son to assist the sharecroppers in establishing a union so they could collectively bring pressure on land owners to deal more fairly and honestly with those who labored in their fields.

The landowners, resenting this interference in their treachery and greed, promptly arrested the attorney's son and made ready to hang him while a larger group attacked the sharecroppers in a vigilante action; killing many. The landowners were surprised however to discover the sharecroppers had a few guns of their own as they managed to kill some of the landowners in self-defence.

The Little Rock attorney, knowing the governor, had the state militia sweep into Helena just in time to prevent his son from being hanged, as his son and one of the sharecroppers were being dragged out of jail and down the steet to a tree when the militia arrived.

The landowners demanded the "murdering" sharecroppers they had attacked, be tried and hanged. Five or six sharecroppers were singled out for this particular honor. They were beaten and tortured until they "confessed"; it took about sixty seconds for a jury of their "peers" to find them guilty and sentence them to death.

The Little Rock attorney and an interested national organization fought this travesty all the way to the United States Supreme Court and the sharecroppers were aquitted. Need I say the sharecroppers were black, the landowners were white, the attorney was U.S. Bryant and the interested organization was the NAACP?

When a book was later written about the "riots" in Helena, the entire debacle was designated a "race riot".

What utter hogwash. The entire debacle was, as it always is, about MONEY. The landowners were robbing the sharecroppers. That is the sum total of what was actually happening. If you want to understand any civil, military or political confrontation.......follow the money.

The world, with its limited attention span, is currently focused upon the bloody murders being committed in the Middle East. The Palestinian and the Iraqi people are valiantly fighting for their lives; to protect and save their people, their culture, their land. We hear about Jews vs Arabs, Muslims vs Christians, the U.S. vs terrorists. We hear the media constantly demonizing some group or other in their attempts to whip everyone up into a fury at everyone else. This raging torrent of lies, slander and the subsequent bloodshed serves to enrich.....Corporations and their hired political minions.

Some of those who have become aware of the murderous intentions of the Nazi-fascist neocons in the U.S., as well as those in England and other countries, decry their plans to dominate the world at the point of a gun without seeming to realize, the neocons are but servants to their corporate masters. All of these miserable, misbegotten subhumans are "internationalists". They are utter parasites, as Scott Ritter helpfully and accurately pointed out regarding the Bush mafia. They feed like vampires on the blood of the people of the world. MILLIONS of innocent men, women and children, of every color, of every nationality, of every religion, of every country, county and town SLAUGHTERED by CORPORATIONS who then lick their lips and count their blood money.

Racial hatred, nationalist animosity, religious conflict......are all "window dressing"; it is all propaganda spewed by (historically, government or royal "leaders" and today by ) CORPORATE owned media and governments to incite one small group of zealots against another small group of zealots (believe me, there is no one easier to manipulate into a frenzy then a religious zealot) and the rest of the normal, thoughtful, peaceful and honorable people of the world are dragged into one murderous conflagration after another; led around by the nose......by CORPORATIONS seeking profit in whatever currency is currently in vogue. Corporations are, we must remember, essentially formed and managed by "people", if that term can be used to describe the sick anti-human, sub-human, anti-life thugs who crave this kind of power and wealth.

But it is certainly not the money itself that is the root. An American Indian woman once wrote, when advising her people, "You certainly cannot respect money, but you have to respect the way some people feel about it". She was referring to the European madness for "yellow metal" followed by the madness for green pieces of paper and today oil; "black gold". There are sick people who want to dominate and control others and collect for themselves vast quantities of whatever is considered "valuable". It goes without saying these people are completely disconnected from life; the living, the earth and the life force that surrounds them but is unknown and unfelt by them. They come in all shapes, sizes and degrees of destructive insanity. They have always been with us. Just as pedophiles join the priesthood and the Boy Scouts, these revoltingly greedy, grotesque "power-seekers" gravitate toward powerful positions in politics, religious organizations, government and "big" business.

We can easily observe the Catch-22 that evolves; those who seek power are almost invariably corrupt, to a lesser or greater degree. To a certain extent, we realize this which is why a power seeker may pretend to be uninterested in power while madly instigating a ground swell of "popular" support as they are "drafted" into the position they were ardently (but secretly) persuing. We, the people of the world, are currently caught up in the "greater degree" of power seeking; corporations and the neocons that serve them; the most destructive force against life imaginable.

While the utterly duplicitious and corrupt Bush Sr. and the equally duplicitious and corrupt Bill Clinton were pretending to be good hearted in their solicitations for donations to victims of the recent tsunami in Asia, their corporate friends and benefactors were busy getting ready to make out like the bandits they are. If you check with the people who were supposed to receive those donations you will discover they are not getting them. Rather, as Naomi Klein pointed out in her recent article for "The Nation" (April 14, 2005) "Disaster Capitalism", there is no "re"construction going on at the beaches that were once comprised of villages and homes........oh no. CORPORATIONS are creating "new" constructions of tourist hotels and the like, where, undoubtedly, the people who once lived there will be allowed to work as minimum wage servants for the new corporate industry moving in and taking over.

Refocusing our attention to the murder and mayhem being perpetrated upon the unfortunate good people of the Middle East.....that would be the "people", exclusive of the majority of their "leaders", it is ridiculously easy to follow the money to the oil and warprofiteering corporations.

As Harry Belafonte said, "We have got to bring corporate America to its knees". I'll take that thought one step farther, we have to bring down all the world's corporations who buy off neocon governments in service to their insatiable greed, particularly the warmongers; the makers of weapons. We can do this. It is well within our abilities to accomplish this but the people of the world must understand who the real enemy is and work together to defeat it.

The Iraqi people's anti-occupation army has mounted blistering attacks upon American occupation forces, exercising their right to defend themselves from murderers and theives. The Vietnamese people were able to repel such an attack decades ago, so there is hope for Iraq. But at what price to the Iraqi people? I am not suggesting the Iraqis should not defend themselves, I am suggesting the Iraqis should not HAVE to defend themselves. They should never have been attacked in the first place. If you look at the history of some of my American Indian ancestors, you will realize the historical significance of the attack upon Iraq. It is always the same and it has been going on forever. Historically, people and countries all over the world experience the same atrocities.

Ultimately, for good or ill, we cannot defeat this, our greatest enemy, the destroyer of the world, with violence. We have tried and we have failed. We win the battles, they win the war. Corporations and their worldwide "governments" are stronger and more destructive then ever. They have bigger guns and more of them. If we are to survive, we must change our response. We have to bleed them to death; which is slower but just as fatal; and it is the only way.

I know you don't want to hear this, but Ghandi showed us how. Martin Luther King showed us how. That is why they were murdered; assassinated because they were showing the people the way to win this deadly game. If another great leader should come forward to show us the way, they too will be murdered. We, the people of the world are going to have to do this essentially without leaders. We must talk to each other, spread the word amongst ourselves and over the net. We must learn and teach each other the truth and take the actions necessary to reclaim our heritage, our cultures, countries and our very lives and the lives of our children and theirs.

The first lesson is to clearly see how human beings are manipulated into war; into killing each other, because this is one of the corporation's best tactics. It is essential to them to persuade people to hate and fear each other. Like the story I told you about the "riots" of Helena, it is all propaganda. I would venture to say 95 to 97% of all the people in the world would never deliberately hurt anyone else except in self defence. That is of course why Bush and his criminal cohorts have slandered Arab and Muslim people and convinced gullible, propagandized and strangely incurious Americans that Arab=Muslim=Terrorists who want to kill all Americans and/or all Christians. If this was not so deadly serious, the suggestion would be laughable. We must learn to see the people of the world are not enemies and can work together as family no matter where we come from or who we are. The real enemy is the corporations; especially those who control the war machine and media propaganda.

We must bleed the beast to death. Don't buy what they're selling. They must have our blood, our labor, our money to exist. We empower them to destroy us. We don't have to do that. We can break them by disconnecting from them. First, by becoming as selfsufficient as possible. This will be a necessary and practical excercise because the world is now facing an economic depression that will be long and deep. Grow as much of your own food as you can. Be imaginative, you can make a green house in your living room. Find local farmers and establish mutual relationships to provide each other with what you can.

When you must buy something, buy locally. Buy from small businesses. Repair and/or recycle everything. Buy used and/or barter. Use solar panels if you can afford them. Work together with neighbors, share labor and transport. Teach yourself to make much of what you need. We can do this if we set our minds to it. Consumerism is the life blood of corporations......don't buy from them. You get the idea; whenever you feel the need to buy something, figure out an alternative.....there will almost always be one if you look for it. If there is no alternative to a purchase, follow the lists on "BuyBlue" or "Choosetheblue". Give the neocons nothing.

Accept there will be hard times. This is our responsibility. To stop the insanity, torture, the mass murders, endless brutality and the ultimate destruction of our planet and ourselves, this is now our new vocation. Stand together, as Dr. King said, "I want to say with all of our actions we must stick together. Unity is the great need of the hour. Don't let anybody frighten you. We are not afraid of what we are doing because we are doing it within the law." Resist corporate/government atrocities and false "authority".

Stop funding these grotesque murderers. In the United States (as in Iraq), the "election" was corrupt. Therefore, there were no elections. This is particularly important in America at this moment. As a member of several verifiable voting groups, I can say with at least some authority, the evidence of nationwide election fraud, although suppressed by the corporate media, is massive. An individual analyzing this material will see beyond any reasonable doubt, there was no election in the United States on November 2, 2004. What we saw was a charade.

At this moment in history, America has no fairly, and therefore legally, elected government. The utterly corrupt current, unelected and illegal administration and Congress do not represent the will of the American people. And we have Constitutional laws regarding taxation; there is no taxation without representation. Because we cannot ascertain who would have been rightfully elected, we the people do not have representation in Washington (only a cursory glance at current legislation proves this absolutely). This administration does not have the authority to tax the American people . This goes beyond "War Tax Resisters", this is not about refusing the forty cents on the dollar used to pay for war. This is about refusing in totality the authority of these unelected "officials". Don't be afraid of the IRS; they cannot arrest us all. Don't pay them their blood money and they will fold like a house of cards. We can utterly destroy them peacefully. It is, in fact, the only way we can destroy them and reclaim our lives and the life of the planet.

This will be hard. This will require dedication and determination. People will continue to suffer. People will die. It will take some time. But this is what we must do. We owe this debt to the Palestinians, the Iraqis, the Afghanis, the people of South America and Africa and all those who have been harmed by the neocons for decades. We must do it together with love and respect for our human family in all its glorious variety and our sacred earth, lush with diversity. We must do it for the children we love and their children. This is the "war" we the people of the world must fight. If we will do this, we will finally "win".
